i agree TT, i really thought that somehow cally would get Lucky,Genn and Jackson into the short pass patterns, screens, dump passes, etc. , but that does not seem to be in his playbook......i just think that SOMEHOW, these guys could be utilized and maybe isolated for a few big plays every game....somehow..wouldn't you think??? hunter

let's just hope the execution and play calling will get more refined with the 2 week bye ahead........

well at this point i guess he's more comfortable with using Ross alot......but i do think there are times when he could use a breather and the other guys bring a different skill/running style to the game too......

what i am refering to Dave, is his decision to feature a 2 tight end set, when everyone knows we don't have any tight ends!! hell, why would you design a plan to play using your weakness?? makes no damn sense?? and still not using Cody when the time called for it.........and the play/play calling after Nunns big punt return, hell that was pitiful!! hunter

as i remember i don't think Montana was either big, tall or strong.......just smart. as long as freeman is putting up the numbers as he is doing, it is hard to say he will NOT be a force, besides when Kennedy gets a hold of him he will "beef up". hunter

not unususal to ticket the high profile principal.........i like it..lol.......but watch out now, he will be running down NU for the rest of the season, at least that long....... f##king hillbillie! hunter

the one thing cally won't do is change his approach to play calling.....although i think he should adjust it for every game, maybe to some degree he is?.......i am beginning to wonder if he really wants to exploit the defenses weaknesses or "just try to take what I want"...call me a pain in the butt, but that comment sticks in my head and i am beginning to think he is determined to run the O this way until the guys get it right? hell i dunno what to think anymore, but as i said earlier, it isn't ALL coaching, but the O has got to figure out a way to score some points, good teams overcome penalities too... hunter

it will take more than Beck, alhtough he will eventually help, what we need is some athletes on the O line..........won't see that until next year or the year after....... hunter

i meant let Cody carry the ball more than 4 times a game........as far as Herian, i guess you missed Cally's comment that he is in too much pain just running to play. i think he is done, i just don't think the leg will ever let him play again.....at this point our only hope is next year and recruiting some guys who can block and catch the ball.......and by then Beck should have a command of the offense...so be patient folks, cause it is gonna be a long season.......but hoping for the best! hunter

although he is not ready yet, we will welcome Beck when he is........if he were as far along in the system as Zac is now, he would be a big help.......let Cody play!!! hunter

don't get me wrong, i too am greatfull, but here is the reality: 1) the defense will not continue to win all the ball games, we are going to play better teams starting next week 2) Zac and the receivers are not going to get much better the rest of the year 3) the O line sucks, there is no talent there and no one seems concerned about recruiting any.....i am concerned 4) Grixby will continue to make great plays, but will get his ass burned more often than not 5) Cally will need several more years of good recruiting to get the O on track although some question the coaches (me included) it now appears we are short some quality players...... hunter

well boyz the way i see it the next 2 games, if the O plays like this, we will be 3-2

well, it would not be inconceivable for him to gain 30 lbs., but as i said i see no big push to get O linemen, some of the best are already comitted and with guys like Thomas playing up front we will continually get our ass kicked.....it is a proven fact you have to have quicker O linemen to make the WCO work and our big fat-ass 300 lb. plus guys ain't gettin the job done.......that is painfully obvious by now hunter

cause we damn sure need some, don't you think? and i have not heard of any big time prospects being recruited for OL........ hunter
