  1. I disagree, i went to the OU vs. NU game this year, and Norman has the ribbon boards and HD screens already, and i throughly approve of them. They helped a lot with stats, and cheers. they didnt show an awful amount of ads, if they did, then they were on the very ends, with other things (stats, scores, ect.) in the middle. I loved the ribbons. They make it look really sharp. Hopefully, ill go to the NU vs. OU game this year and be able to see them. GBR! Could be! I haven't seen them yet . . . that was just my reaction to the idea. They might end up great. i was at the ku game in 07, and they have a couple ribbon boards... i don't remember any advertisments at all(im sure they did have advertisements though), just stats and scores form other games, and chants. it was cool. depending on how big our boards are going to be i expect the same as what ku did. heres a pic of ku's Linkerdoodldoo I think that looks cheesy.

  3. I might be the only one . . . but I'm not excited about the ribbon boards. They will show advertising almost exclusively, and it will make the atmosphere seem that much more like a pro stadium.
  4. Actually the Canadian court system just decided a case where they held that if someone was too large to fit into a single airline seat the airline was required to provide the passenger with a second seat free of charge. I believe it is currently on appeal.
  5. I had to sell my east stadium ticket because I visited family over Thanksgiving break. I watched it at my aunt and uncle's house and nearly spiked my cousin's newborn.
  6. Conrad Hemingway Stephen King Ayn Rand Douglas Adams Chuck Pahluniak
  7. Or a programmer. If you want to write code for the widest base, you'd want to stick with Windows. Absolutely. I should probably qualify that a little further...all I use mine for is word processing and web browsing.
  8. I was a die hard PC user for 10 years...now I switched to a Macbook Pro and would NEVER EVER go back. No worries about viruses, no crashes, runs quietly and quickly. All around superior as far as I am concerned. . . . unless you are a big video gamer of course. I can understand why those people wouldn't like them.
  9. Also, if you have other questions about anything down there, shoot me a message. I'm fairly familiar with the area and might be able to help.
  10. I've been down there twice for spring break. The two big clubs at Panama City Beach that everyone goes to are Club La Vela and Club Spinnaker. (La Vela is known as the Rufe capital of the world . . . seriously.) La Vela is supposedly the biggest club in the US. Both are fun if you are into the club scene. During the day everyone seems to wander the beach between the two clubs with drinks in hand. Some people opt to bury kegs in the sand, etc. MTV usually has good free concerts on the weekends as well. (as long as you don't mind popular music...the only one I remember with any clarity was Hello/Goodbye.) Anyways, have fun. Wear protection. Have fun! p.s. -I'm too old for that scene now. I'd rather just sit around a bonfire on the beach with friends and drinks than party it up at the clubs.
  11. I voted Ganz. The best receivers can't accomplish much if they don't have a qb who can get the ball into their hands. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we will SORELY miss Ganz next year. His mistakes this year might have cost us a few games this year, but without him we wouldn't even have been in those games. I think he is the team MVP from 2008, counting both offense and defense. The man was an incredible competitor. Similar to those that voted Swift/Peterson, I don't mean to take anything away from the other option. I know those two will be missed, and both were absolutely clutch. That said, Ganz was the one that actually got the ball to them. Hopefully we have playmakers step up and make the question irrelevant!
  12. The off season is the time for random hypotheticals. If Nebraska could get one more year of eligibility for Joe Ganz, or for both Nate Swift and Todd Peterson, who do you pick, and why.
  13. I think there is probably more to this story, and that we will probably never know Bo's side. I trust our coach and AD to act with good judgment.
  14. The topic isn't who is a better pro NFL QB, but rather who is a better college QB. And what good is arm strength anyways if you can't put the ball where you want it or avoid a sack?
  15. If you think Ganz had the respect of the players on the team this year, you are crazy. I personally know players who have told me Ganz is full of himself and extremely cocky. He thinks he is good and a lot of players really disliked the guy. On the other hand, Keller is 50X more athletic than Ganz will ever be. I feel that Keller would have done just as well if not better this year than Ganz. Swift and Pederson made Ganz LOOK really good. Hence why he will never see the light of day on Sundays. Sorry if this makes some people upset but I really feel it is the truth. I am glad Ganz is gone. (he was a tough mother though) I registered on this board just to reply to this post. I'm happy that you personally know players that know Ganz, but I know Sam personally. If you think that Ganz is full of himself and cocky (which he probably is to some extent, and cockiness/confidence is probably a positive for a college qb) then you obviously know very little of Sam. Also...Keller 50x more athletic than Ganz?! Based on what exactly?! Ganz completion percentage: 68% Keller completion percentage: 63% Ganz rushing touchdowns 2008: 92 rushes for 258yds and 5 touchdowns Keller rushing touchdowns 2007: 25 rushes for -78yds and 0 touchdowns Perhaps you meant to say that Keller looks more athletic than Ganz. I'd give you that I suppose. Anyways, I'm shocked that anyone would disparage Ganz in any way. He seemed to be the heart of the team this year and the 2009 Huskers are significantly worse without his presence.
