The first-team All-Big 12 member recorded 9.5 sacks last season, while also having 15 tackles for a loss. He also recorded 73 tackles, including 42 solo. As great as Crick is, hopefully the voters' won't penalize him because of what Suh did last year because he deserves to be judged on his own merit. With Nebraska ranked in the Top 10 in most preseason polls, Crick could definitely follow Suh and earn votes at the end of the season. Oct. 16 vs. Texas will be the Huskers biggest challenge of the season." The days to camp seem like years this summer...
  2. Having somewhere to go would be a bigger barganing chip. If you don't offer enough money I'm going to play football at Nebraska for instance. But since you have said you are going to Nebraska we dont know that you are committed to us so we wont draft you until the 7th round. That is true. If they are concerned that he really wants to go to college and play different sports, it could knock him down a few rounds and could be enough to get him less money from a MLB contract and therefore push him to go to college at Nebraska. I guess we just won't know until it happens. Zach Lee is taking summer classes at LSU. Dodgers picked him 28th over all just last month. His asking price at that spot is $5 mil. But, it still seems to look like he's leaning toward LSU. They have until August 15 to sign him. They considered him an elite talent, but because of his questionable signability he dropped to 28th. Then there was Carl Crawford who went in the 2nd round after signing his LOI. I believe there's some people here that still remember that, too. So, we just won't know until it happens.
  3. Any legs to the grumblings besides posters? Keep us informed, E! Interesting news!!
  4. Nice to have a BUBBA on the team! I feel a little sick in my stomach, though. Would LOVE to see him suit up...but it's going to be hard to turn down the $$$ if he's drafted in the first round.
  5. Looks like he's pretty solid to Stanford, but keeping one option open just in case he doesn't get in: From SCOUT Free Article: Post-camp interview with Stanford LB commit Anthony Sarao On his camp experience… I was here yesterday hanging out with the players, getting chemistry going. On the chemistry with some of the other 2011 commits… Everything was good, we already have what, 17 commits? Were all out here having fun - it seems like were already on the team. On his summer goals… This summer Im just trying to get my technique down. You always need technique because you can have all the talent in the world but if you dont have technique [you wont play well.] On his standing with his Stanford commitment and the recruiting process… Im solid to Stanford. I worked hard for my SAT so Im pretty sure I got my SAT score. Im not worried about that. Im out here playing with my future teammates and its good. Im solid to Stanford. On keeping his doors open until he gets admitted… Yeah Im still keeping my doors open because you never know with Stanford. You get a lot of de-commits at the end, not even de-commits, just kids who cant get in to the school so you never know. Sarao Interview
  6. Hype it up until the season, then let's go game by game...how is that? I mean...what else are we going to do until the season starts?
  7. Wow! OU has 3 Rivals 250 DT's in this class. #9 Marquis Anderson #11 Jordan Wade #12 Jordan Phillips Wow...but let's see what they do with them. I am sure they will do very well with them. Its not like OU is known for having players go there and suck. Yeah, probably won't suck...but I'm sure SUH will tell you the difference between good and GREAT is Bo.

  9. Oh well...another one to Texas....I wonder if our move to the Big X had anything to do with it. Just wondering.
  10. I wonder how much of a shot we really do have with this guy. He's got quite an impressive offer list.
  11. Could not agree more. Yeah, and if he truly believes what I've heard him say before...Family is also high on his list...then I think we can't overlook the opportunity to be united with his brother on campus. I know his bro isn't giving him any pressure, but I think it has some importance to Aaron.
  12. It HAS to be grades...right???
  13. While one player doesn't make or break a football team, I really hope he's I think he has great potential and it would be great for him and our program if he were to join. I think we have a great opportunity because his brother plays for us already...but he's not jumping in yet. So, for me, it's a little disheartening. And if he reads our boards...I want him to know...I want him !!
  14. Well, I guess this is like Jim Joyce...ESPN just missed the call despite it being obvious. I'm sure they're human...so, I can forgive them, since Galarraga forgave Joyce. Besides, once Tyler starts ripping em up on the field this year, ESPN will probably reconsider their rankings. Especially since I read about how well he did against Wilder who is a top 5 stud (based on the rankings).
  15. Do we think he's on his iPhone or similar? Whoops! Triple post. Whoops! Triple Post. Whoops! Triple Post! Thought I might keep things consistent. My darn Crappy computer ...
  16. Well, it is still very early. I'm sure some are going to want to play the drama out. Especially the already ranked top DLmen. I bet they also want to take those official visits come fall.
  17. You do know this board isn't text message based, right? I can't stand when I get to one of your posts. Just spell the stuff out, it's not that hard and looks much better(e.g. less adolescent). Being a little picky, but I must agree. A little shorthand here and there is fine, but not all over the post. Maybe he's on his I-phone or similar?

  21. Remember that we went 8-4 and 9-5 after Callahan had a year in the system. It looked like things were picking up; we came off a 21-7 loss in the Big 12 CCG against Oklahoma, followed by a close loss in the bowl to Auburn. We were thinking we could've been a 10, even 11 win team that year. And everyone was thinking...okay, 8-4, 9-5. Now it's 10+ win territory. We're going to win 10-12 games this year and challenge for the NCG yearly. Instead...everything fell apart. It's dangerous making projections like that. We're in 9 win territory right now. From here, it's much easier to fall back down than to improve or even just to hold steady. Don't take that as granted, as much as Bo's regime is in its infancy. Sustained long term success will always be hard to find...if we keep making unrealistic predictions, we'll always be disappointed. but with callahan there were times where we just didn't compete. I remember when we blew a double digit lead to okie st, after that it became a joke of how are we gonna lose this one. With bo it feels like we are gonna win no matter how it looks. Even during the tech game this year i still felt like we were just a play away from clawing back in. With callahan i was never happy even with a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter I couldn't agree more with you. I remember sitting in my buddies living room during the '06 Texas game, and telling everyone that we were going to find some way to blow our lead. Everybody said I was being pessimistic and not having faith. Next thing you know, Nunn fumbles. With Pelini, I never have the urge or thought to say something like that. I feel pretty good (most of the time) even if we have just a one point lead. I always feel like we are going to win. Haha, good points. Bo now has me believing again that we can play and hang with ANYBODY, and that's something that I haven't felt for a while. On the other hand, after the VT loss, and the Texas loss as well, it's been just crushing...I remember after that long pass play Tyrod had against us, I was basically throwing things and screaming in my head, "WHY CAN'T WE HAVE NICE THINGS??" Yeah, tell me about it! I went to go take a leak when VT had the ball and was stuffed. I thought we had the game locked up. When I came back it was like 2nd and goal. Unreal...I guess going to the bathroom saved me the agony of actually watching the play unfold as it happened.
  22. Was cruising thru ESPN and noticed that Jamal Turner is now on the 150 Watch list. Hmm...what the heck is going on with Tyler Moore? Somebody must have clicked the wrong button.
  23. Wait...you mean Eric's post was a legit message?! I thought it was a joke. I'm still waiting for him to comeback and say that it was a joke...
  24. It's a tough question that I would like to answer with another question. If he had a kick-a$$ OC that took care of the offense. Does he become looked at like an Top tier coach? I mean, the offense isn't too hot. Is that a result of him, or Watson? Some of the great defenses we had under TO ... was that because of TO? Yet, TO was an upper-echelon coach. I think Bo is on his way. Maybe a few more years of experience. Or if he gets a hot, up and coming OC, he gets there quicker.
  25. I was thinking the same thing about a lot of the recruits not too long ago...then I realized...it's still only May. We got some time to go still. I figure when the summer camps start, we'll see more action. Hopefully, we can get a lot of these guys in for an official in the fall!
