I think i saw the stats in another thread. I believe they had 78 yards rushing on 20 carries. That is including a 42 yard scamper from Washington late in the 4th. Take that run away and well, one word, pathetic.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match. But just wanted to give my opinion. Gabbert had a good game, but did not look stellar in my eyes. Should have had at least 2 picks if the defense was looking for the ball. One touchdown was on an illegal pick. And a lot of yards came from YAC by the receivers. Especially Alexander, he made that D look atrocious. Just my .02

Honestly? Some really ugly play, bailed out by some really bad calls by the refs, some really boneheaded defensive plays by Nevada, and Gabbert looking slow of foot yet still benefiting from horrible pass coverage. Not to mention Nevada fumbling on the one yard line and Mizzou taking it and driving 99 yards for the score...14 point swing. Not to mention that TD pass was with a non-called illegal pick....But they still drove the entire field at that point and were likely going to score anyway However... It was 3rd down and if the referees had gotten that call right (well who expects that now? ) then the penalty for a pick play is a loss of down and a 15 yard penalty, which would have held missouri to yet another field goal and would have made the score 24 to 13 rather than 28 to 13. I agree. People are going to look at this and see Missouri won by 2+ possessions (if Nevada can't score). But boy, Missouri looked awfully bad until midway through the 4th quarter.

I think that Missouri better learn/find a running game in the next couple of weeks. At this point, I think our D could pin their ears back and rush Gabbert all day.

The game you are referring to may have been the "lesser" team...but at least they didn't lose to ND 35 - 0

I'm wondering if Gabbert is really going to try those types of throws when he gets into conference play? You know the ones that he is running for his life and throws it 30 yards down the sideline on the run? Both of those throws should have been picked off. If I was Pinkel, I think I would be sitting him down and having a talk with him. JMHO

I haven't been overly impressed by anything Missouri has done. There have been a couple of players that have stood out. Wetherspoon of course. He's the real deal, but I'm sure we all knew that. WR Alexander, wow is he that good? My goodness Nevada can't cover him. If he is that good we'll have to contain him. Washington has done nothing. 22 yards rushing for Missouri in the first half. Guess we'll have to see what the second half brings.

You know, I'm not exactly sure what they thought they were going to prove tonight against a mediocre Nevada team. But if they lose, hold on to your seats, they just may have another game in two weeks that they'll have to recover from

No the video doesn't show that. Holt started falling to the ground as he was gained possession so he has to maintain possession through the fall to include hitting the ground. Yes, I'm sorry but Fro Daddy is right. This was indeed an incomplete pass as much as it pains me to say it. Holt needed to hold onto the ball through the fall, including when he hit the ground. It is what it is and now it's time to move on to the next game.
