  1. Rivals now has a teaser on Harper saying "Harper still a possibility?" anyone know anything about it?
  2. I agree with you. The CU Rivalry was based off the, wanting too be as good as us. Iowa has been plenty good before us and at the same time. But doesn't have as many shinny trophies too show for it. Look for this too become potentially bad. While Iowa was good last year, and has had a few nice teams in the past, IMO, they are EXACTLY like CU, minus the (cough-cough) MNC. They hate us because we are what they want to be, and we only care about beating them because they are in our road. I really see no difference. I wouldn't go to the extent that they are exatly like CU because Boulder is horribly nasty, but I agree that in the sense of program prestige the are entirely similar which was THE MAIN reason our fans refuted to CU "Rivalry" so much in the first place. But Ill join u in for some more laughs :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin
  3. CU Rivalry :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin those are two words that cannot possibly fit together in that context for a typical Husker fan's dictionary
  4. How bout this T-Magic described as an action - as in "You just witnessed T-Magic!" TayMart as a nick name for boards T-Mobile for fan signs (T-Magic is also acceptable for this, and if someone also thinks of another Great nickname, that would also be acceptable) & simply Taylor Martinez, or if you must Martinez or even Taylor, come game day. T-Magic can still be used on game dya just as long as it describes an action. ...These are the Taylor Martinez grammar guidelines
  5. assuming that he can be here for spring ball, and he didn't tick off the coaches too bad, i bet we'll still take him. a guy with his skills that has a spring and summer to get ready is worth taking, even for two years. of course, inability to pass some juco classes shows some serious question marks about either his motivation or his ability to cut it academically. if it is the former, the coaches might wash their hands of him. Rivals now has a teaser on Harper saying "Harper still a possibility?" anyone know anything about it?
  6. Wear a red shirt underneath a purple. Once you get into the stadium, take the purple shirt off and yell, "suckers!" Well played sir
  7. Another reason why we should get Penn State for that date
  8. At the game I saw quit a few fans with red shirts and a flipped white long horn logo, II think with clipped horns but Im not sure, but anyways does anyone know how I can get one?
  9. Does anyone have an idea how long Compton's out?
  10. Oh common its facebook, its just a fun thing for fans
  11. Hey husker facebookers, I just made a new page supporting Taylor Martinez, click the link to like http://www.facebook.com/pages/T-Magic-the-Taylor-Martinez-fan-page/132048476841418?v=page also spread the word
  12. OU has NOW had Texas since 1900, which is before they started playing NU. Also if the NU/OU “rivalry” meant the same to both sides they wouldn’t have voted against inter-divisional rivals when the Big 12 was formed. We would have stayed on each others schedules every year. That didn’t happen so that just proves that no matter what people want to believe we were always their #2 behind Texas. That game was huge just ask Switzer, we were #1 until he left
  13. Well the real rivary games going to be PSU it's just not going to be at the end of the year after Thanks Giving. Lets hope my friend, lets hope. Im so excited 4 that game!
  14. Thank God I'm not the only one who feels this way!
  15. But you don't live next door to them. Little brother can be very difficult to deal with sometimes. It seems like many (most) have an inferiority complex. Exactly! Now why should we name little brother as our main #1 Rivalry?! Shouldn't our rival be another giant in the college football world like us?
  16. I must admit I'm one who adamantly is against Iowa as our Main Rivalry. I understand the geography thing and the fact that they run their mouths, but that is completely reminiscent of Colorado. I don't understand why so many of the fans who were so opposed to the force CU rivalry joke are so on board with the Iowa rivalry! I understand they have big mouths and the bragging rights I guess, but they really have done nothing to compare themselves to us or even associate themselves with us as our top Rival. They have achieved relatively little compared to us, so why should we tie our program to a weaker one like their's? They have no national titles, they have one Heisman winner from 1939, 11 conference titles (6 modern era), and only twenty all-americans!!!! Colorado has traditionally been a more successful program than Iowa, yet we refused to acknowledge CU as a rival (myself included), but welcome Iowa with open arms?!?!?!?!?! Yes Iowa has had a decent decade (arguably their best in their modern era), but I think that makes them even less qualified. This is one of the worst decades in the history of Husker football in the modern era and we still had a better record than them, a better winning percentage, a Heisman winner and a National Title appearance while they didn't! Now I have to be careful here, because my entire Mom's side of the family (who I love dearly) is in east Iowa and they all are extreme Hawks fans, but from a football standpoint it makes no sense!!!!!! Why should one of the nation's most prestigious programs in college football settle for Iowa as their main rival?!?!?! USC has Notre Dame, Miami has Florida State, Michigan has Ohio State, Oklahoma now has Texas (which I still hate to say), and so on... And we would have IOWA?????? That's like USC's main rival being Stanford (a program with a decent amount of history, with Bill Walsh and John Elway), but no where near in comparison with USC! Each of these have two things in common, both teams have at least 1 National Title (although everyone beside Stanford has at least 2 in this), and the series are relatively close. the last three times we played Iowa we put up 49 on them and they achieved a double digit score once in those three games. I don't understand this!!!!!!!!!!!! Feel free to explain, rebuttal or simply state your view
