  1. Well said Pete. Nebraska just needs to focus on winning and the rest will sort itself out. I totally agree though that Andrew's experiences here will be some pretty big factors in what Aaron decides to do. I have to say that I would love to see 3 Greens wearing that N.
  2. Having his brother is a huge help but do any of you guys know if that makes it easier to recruit, in other words if he comes to visit his brother during a dead period is it reasonable to think the staff can talk to him since he has a brother on the team? Anyone know how that works? The coaches are not allowed any contact with him during a dead period. That means even if he is on campus during a dead period. But the good news is if Aaron is on campus visiting his brother, used his own money to get up here, and its not a dead period then yeah the coaches can talk to him all they want. Since they are pretty close brothers, as most have said, there is a pretty good chance he will come to see him as much as he can. I would say that is a really good thing for Nebraska. To really seal the deal I think we need to keep winning and show we are headed in the right direction.
  3. Don't know if I have ever laughed so hard in my life. Actually I have, but this was pretty dang funny.
  4. I think you nailed it right there. Kansas will not be that good this year. 3rd is a solid pick I would say. You have a new offensive line and lost your starting linebackers who were on a bad defense anyways. So your defense goes from bad to worst. Missouri has some talent, however, I really believe they will have to establish a run game this year. If they don't then I am already counting them out of winning the north. Nebraska has the most talent by far. Some Missouri fan said we had no o-line...Oh we have an O-line and its pretty deep. Our WR's will be just fine with Mendoza in the slot and our TE's are amazing. Our DB's will make a lot of headway and you will see our turnover margin start heading back in the positive. Nebraska has had trouble in the turnover margin after 2003 when we had +21 that year, and that's not because of the players. Mark my words, you guys' that underestimate Nebraska will be shocked when you see them on the field.
  5. I have to throw my 2 cents in here. Kansas needs to get their O-line to grow up fast this year. If they can do that then I say they have a shot. I think their defense also takes a step back as well this year. Missouri I will not count out if Gabbert can lead his team, but I still think Maclin and Coffman were big losses for them. I don't even know why Kansas State was mentioned by Steele, because that makes about as much sense as a prostitute teaching sunday school. Now there is Colorado. Some of you believe they have a talented team, but I just don't see it. Say all you want about injuries and they kept it close with us last year, blah. I don't know about you guys, but I saw us dominate them last year and like Pelini said, "we were our own worst enemy." WE kept them in that game...had nothing to do with Colorado. Nebraska has more talent out of the north then the other teams do and now we just need the team to put it all together. What people need to remember, and they will, is that we had one of the worst coaching staffs in the nation for 4 years. It was also the first year for these kids under new coaching schemes and staff. Last year Nebraska started to get a taste of winning and that feeling of believing you can is going to carry into this season. I won't predict who wins the north, because that's why they play the game. But I will say Nebraska has the most going for them then the other teams. Here is to a good season and good luck to Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado. Don't take my opinions for being mean to you guys...just the way I see it and wish your teams nothing but the best except when you play my 'skers lol.
  6. I would say this is proof that God is a Husker fan. Thanks for all you are doing Dr. Osborne. Keep up the good work.
  7. I agree with all of that. You hate to say it, but unless he was on the field getting a lot of playing time, I have to say it's not a huge loss. I also wish him the best of luck and hate to see a competitor like him leave. Good luck in the future Mason and thanks for your contributions to the Big Red.
