  1. The B1G should at least consider (and may be considering) rescheduling the game. Give some time to let the strongest emotions fade a bit. If they do have the game Beer probably will get banned from the game.
  2. Yeah I wonder how many PSU students in those streets have read the full report.
  3. The sad thing is no one had the stones to cut him loose with dignity a long time ago.
  4. Well that's just too damn bad, tell it to the 40 kids or their families and see if they agree with you. "In the heat of the moment" doesn't absolve people of crimes of omission, just like it doesn't absolve them of crimes of commission. +1. Well spoken.
  5. I guarantee you we'd sell that joint out in an hour. I think more like 12 minutes. Well, Yes, an hour is reasonable.
  6. This is what i don't like the about the whole situation. Curley or Schultz could have easily told Paterno or McQueary that it had been turned over to the authorities or that it was taken care of. But because of the media fueled firestorm. Everyone is made to look like the bad guy. It took them 4 days, but better late than never.
  7. He is going to be making lots of money, he'll be fine.
  8. It's not nice to call people fools even in another language. By the way it's BABOSO..... In San Antonio it is VAVOSO. Ya, I've lived there and it's not. Ok sir.
  9. It's not nice to call people fools even in another language. By the way it's BABOSO..... In San Antonio it is VAVOSO.
  10. You can't talk about it per MODS, you have to take it to the politics and religion forum.
  11. That doesn't sit well with me. I haven't read the report, but no one has gave a definitive answer as to what Joe knew and didn't know about the situation. This could just be me playing devils advocate because I like to give people a chance, and I like believe in the good in everyone, but how could you come to this conclusion without ever hearing the words directly from his mouth about the event. Maybe they did here his account or maybe it was all there in the grand jury report, but at this point from a layman's view it seems like only Joe knows what Joe knows if you understand what I saying. Don't get me wrong I'm not by any mean at all condoning what people have done here, WAY too many people just turned a blind eye to this. Maybe legally they can't say now.
  12. Alamo, while I can appreciate what you were trying to communicate, the way you tried to communicate it was political. You post was "That's what Liberal indoctrination does to minds that fathers haven't instilled any sort of morality in!!!!" Then, in the post above, you allege that it is well documented that the majority of teachers and professors at most schools have liberal ideologies. To claim that your post was not political is simply not accurate - political parties and platforms are, by definition, based on ideologies. As huskeraddict requested, please take any political postings to the Politics and Religion sub-forum. Folks go to that forum specifically to discuss politics and the underlying ideologies of political identification. In the other forums, they want to discuss the topic in the context of the forum. Thanks. I will be obedient to your request, however you just stated an opinion not a fact so we will have to agree to disagree. Thanks.
  13. But, business and personal relationships should be separated. From a PR standpoint, when the pitchforks are out you risk bad PR for UNL at the risk of sticking up for your buddy. Then people start asking questions on whether your buddy told you something. Just not wise in my book. He could have just left first paragraph out it would have been fine. Then call his buddy and offer support. FWIW.
  14. Welcome to the board Compton, sorry you had to join under these circumstances.
  15. http://www.foxnews.c...-state-scandal/ U.S. Education Department to Investigate Penn State Scandal "The investigation -- to be carried out by the Office of Federal Student Aid -- will determine whether the school followed the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and the Campus Crime Statistics Act, read a statement from the Department of Education. Colleges and universities are required to disclose the number of reported criminal offenses each year on campus under the Campus Crime Statistics Act. Institutions also must issue timely warnings if a reported crime is a threat to the greater campus community, the statement read. If these allegations of sexual abuse are true then this is a horrible tragedy for those young boys," said Education Secretary Arne Duncan. "If it turns out that some people at the school knew of the abuse and did nothing or covered it up, that makes it even worse."
  16. I haven't cared for Perlman for a while since he gave Callaghan a bonus then firing him causing Nebraska to have to pay more to fire him. That being said, he is stupid for releasing this for the "university". The first paragraph could and should have been left out. He should have issued the first paragraph as a citizen not one representing Nebraska. Like we need anyone to pile on us for this. In Pennsylvania all day people are outraged at Spanier.
  17. +1 Nail on the head. Sometimes I wonder if any of there fans have read it. Pennsylvania sports talk radio is calling him to resign immediately and not play Nebraska Saturday.
  18. Look--I know we've railed on Matt Millen (myself included) on these boards. But he's right, and I think he's pretty much saying a lot of what we're thinking--that it's sad we're not protecting our children and thinking of them in this situation. +1
  19. 1. All you light-bulbs should reread this thread first. It is about JoePa's statement from his house. 2. The quotation you are taken of me OUT OF CONTEXT WAS IN REFERENCE TO WHAT A STUDENT SAID THAT BEANMAN PUT UP!!!!Vavosos!!! 3. It is well documented that the majority of teachers and professors at most public schools/COLLEGES have liberal IDEOLOGIES. 4. Politics and ideologies are two different things, MORALITY comes from IDEOLOGY!!! 5. This is what I was trying to communicate concerning the students comment from above not HAVING ANY MORAL CLARITY NOT BRINGING POLITICS INTO IT!!!
