  1. I know we've probably discussed this, but I still don't understand some people's desire to beat Missouri so badly. They are just another conference team that we beat up on for decades who have had the upper hand on us lately. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Nebraska beat them, but right now I see them as no more a threat to us than Texas Tech, Kansas, or even Colorado. We're Nebraska. Let's set our sights high and focus on beating up on Virginia Tech and Oklahoma (in addition to the other teams on our schedule!) I agree whole heartedly, but giving them a good 'old fashioned @ss whoopin would be a nice way to start the conference schedule!
  2. Couldn't agree more! Watching games in HD has made watching games in standard def almost unbearable. I don't like shelling out $30 for standard def, but I'd pay more than $30 if it meant I could watch in HD. True that the cost is ridiculous with no HD, but I'm so anxious to see the Huskers play the '09 season that I'd be happy watching the games in Black & White with no sound while still shelling out the $30 per game!
  3. Our part is not to ask what, or why, tuff tiger is what he is. Our part is simply to sit back and enjoy the ride. Thanks for fillin' in the blanks. If I'd have read this the other night after throwing down a six pack or two (or three) it might have made some sense, but sober? I...well I just didn't know what to say????
  4. The loss hurts as Castille would have played a big part in the running back rotation, but we basically lost experience and not a lot of yards or TDs (467 rushing yds, 109 receiving with 6 TDs). The Huskers go 10-2 (losses to VA tech and OU) in the regular season, lose the Big 12 to TX, and then win their bowl game.
  5. I'm in Reno....Mizzou vs UNR game on its way so fly up and lets root fer NV (can't see myself cheering for Mizzou).
  6. I'm new, shiny 'er shiney? 'N stuff to the Huskerboard. So Hi!!!!
  7. So there are 13 days until the start of the '09 season for the Huskers. As a life long Husker out here in Nevada, USA, these are the things I do know for '09 as of 8/23: - Castille is gone, tough loss, but it's not like we are trying to replace an All American. The man broke the rules, so THE man decided to send him on his way (looks like we will all get to know a little more about the Plano guy named "Superman" here in about two weeks). - The defense will be good if not great. Front line (Suh), will help a ton with young linebackers along with playmakers in the secondary. - KU will not win because they don't have the same quality of players and our D coordinator isn't named Cosgrove (who by the way is still trying to figure out that tricky scheme from the top dogs in Pop Warner) - 'Skers will win the game in Misery...They had two pretty good seasons but lightening in a bottle is gone (they do have a new scoreboard, so nothing could be better than breaking it in with a Nebraska win). - VA Tech & OU will be a nice gauge as to where we are at. - I'm gonna go out on a limb and put the skers at a 10-2 regular season (VA tech & OU losses) with a spot in the Big 12 champ game. GBR!
