  1. Sadly, don't they have a rule against that? I'm just picturing the first time it was tried and the commissioners saying: "Now thats something we never thought of!!!!"
  2. I cannot fathom why Houston Nutt would leave Mississippi for Kansas. That would make zero sense. After he has turned down Nebraska in the days before the collapse no less
  3. Well, if it HAS to happen, then I vote for the WAC. WHO'S COMIN TO HAWAII'S HOME GAME WITH ME!!! B)
  4. I think in a few of the shots you can actually see a bulge in the rear pants of the O lineman where he crapped himself.
  5. Nice The angle really shows you what he is doing too. And if you watch at the 3:20 mark, right after the Colt toss, its pretty funny. Three of the linemen are walking in perfect cadence swinging their arms.
  6. ESPN.com says that the interview is now officially endorsed by Buffalo. Forgone conclusion that he goes there? It's gonna be hard to root against him. Edit: Read some of the comments. Funny stuff. I get the feeling sometimes that Kansas fans think they are going to get Urban Meyer for head coach, Stoops and Pelini for co-defensive coordinators, and Saban and Carrol for co-offense coordinators. Jeesh, amazing how Mangino inflated their heads.
  7. Oooh. Thats a flavor of Kool Aide I could drink! Sure, why the hell not! Make that two glasses. And put some sauce in mine.
  8. I just can't do it. The college football-less no man's land between January and September is too much to bear. I've got to take in every opportunity I can get.
  9. Not that I condone this in any way, but for some reason this popped into my mind after reading this. Once again, a terrible, despicable act.
  10. Meh, as much as I like Asante, he is a wild card on the field. Are some of the calls against him questionable? Maybe. But he seems to consistently place himself in situations that allow referees to call game breaking penalties.
  11. From Omaha.com Since 2000, Watson has been an offensive coordinator nine seasons in the Big 12. At Colorado (2000 to ’05), and at Nebraska (2007 to ’09). His standing in the Big 12 offensive rankings: • year: total offense, scoring offense • ’00: 8th, 10th • ’01: 2nd, 4th • ’02: 9th, 9th • ’03: 9th, 8th • ’04: 9th, 9th • ’05: 8th, 9th • ’07: 5th, 8th • ’08: 6th, 6th • ’09: 11th, 8th and... Against three top-20 foes in 2009, Nebraska’s offense scored one total touchdown — on a 1-yard drive on Oklahoma set up by an interception.
  12. According to NCAA Stats Link Defense Rushing Defense: 11th (95.46) Passing Defense: 25th (189.08) Total Defense: 9th (284.54) Scoring Defense: 2nd (11.23) Sacks: 3rd (3.23) Interceptions: 9th (19 total) Fumbles: 75th (8 total) Pass Efficiency: 3rd (90.54 rating) Offense Rushing Offense: 68th (141.23) Passing Offense: 101th (175.92) Total Offense: 102nd (317.15) Scoring Offense: 80th (24.54) Sacks Allowed: 38th (1.46) Interceptions Thrown: 60th (12 total) Fumbles Lost: 68th (11 total) Pass Efficiency: 81st (122.29 rating) There ya have it. Take out a Sun Belt game or two and some of those numbers are downright scary.
  13. Wednesday night. Dammit. Gonna have to use 2 days worth of vacation.
  14. Well, says here we're in. Link And I know its been said they want us.
  15. For a kid giving his all, there are a couple of times I would have liked to see him lower his shoulder and get an extra foot or so.
  16. As offensive as the offense's performance has been lately, I have to trust in Bo and Tom doing what they feel is best for the program at this point. Namely, if our offense is as fundamentally flawed (as some make it out to be), Bo and Tom will make changes. Bo is not new to football, he has worked in the pros and taken college teams to division titles & national championships. Tom as been around the block a few times too. They see what is happening just as well as we do. Have some trust. And even if you want to pick apart the play-calling for lack of creativity, do not forget that our coaches have already clearly expressed that we are not afraid to use power sets - gaining few to no yards, protecting a lead at all costs (or slim margin), running clock, controlling field position, avoiding turnovers, and getting the defense back on the field to make plays. Also, in the offense's defense, compared to spring practice this year, we have lost: Our co #1 RB (Castille), arguably our best OL (Javario), and our 1 and 3 QBs (Witt and Spano). Any coach is going to struggle with that situation.

    AHHHHH!

    Just like it says! NOOOOOO!
  18. Do Texas fans think that their defense is playing lights out, or do they see it as I do that our offense is shooting itself? I can't tell. To me it looks like our defense is stopping their offense, but our offense is stopping itself, while their defense goes through the motions. Is this just my one way fan perspective???
  19. "We'll mess with Texas. Merry Christmas TCU. (Thanks for 2001, we remember)" Link: 2001 TCU beats Louisville to give 1 loss Nebraska a shot at the BCS title
  20. I was looking at Bo's recruiting classes this afternoon, and I got to thinking about all this Nebraska spread talk going around. Watson seems to be allowing his schemes to change to the power formations lately due to the personnel, but he has stated that he wants us to be a spread option team. When looking at our offense recruits, though, I don't see that happening. 2008-20010 QB - 1,1,1 = 3 RB - 3,3,0 = 6 WR - 3,1,1 = 5 OL - 4,4,2 = 10 TE - 2,1,1 = 4 Ath - 5,1,2 = 8 It would seem to me that this recruiting trend seems to be pointing towards a personnel of power football, not spread. Granted, I do not know where all of the athletes will end up, but 5 receivers in 3 years does not lend itself to running 4 wide sets with a single back.
  21. Oklahoma http://www.huskerpedia.com/games/2009/file...la_predict.html Texas http://www.huskerpedia.com/games/2009/file...as_predict.html Just sayin Edit: 21-17 NU
  22. I think I would actually prefer to put hole in that ridiculous screen. Maybe a couple of holes...
