  2. Hello Fellow Huskers Does anyone have a list of Husker Watch sites in Southern California for todays game? I am located in Murrieta CA trying to find a place to watch the game. Thanks
  3. 80% of the time, it works everytime
  4. cmb23 is good....but he's not knappic. does anyone really like you? and your cats don't count
  5. Um. OK?!?! Contradict yourself much??? Why don't you show me some stats on all those backs, excluding Helu, when Rex was down? This is called being sarcastic. I am done with this conversation. ?!?!?! ?!?!?! What at any point did you say something sarcastic?!?! Do you even know the meaning of the word? You ask for stats to back something up and then turn around and say you don't care what the stats say to back up a point. That isn't sarcasm, that is contradiction. Sarcasm would be saying "Oh, so I suppose you think those numbers mean something?" (knowing that they do). You're right, you are done with the conversation, because you don't even know what you are conversing about. see if you can figure this out -GFY-

  7. Well...thanks for pointing out why you like Rex. However your 5 points are what should be seen/expected/liked about ANY running back in D-1...hell...any division of football. If you can't find seams (not seems), don't run hard, can't block, can't catch and are slow...you probably are a lineman, or don't play football. Really? Oh - OK I forgot that we are 7 backs deep with great blockers, great pass catchers and guys that can find the SEEMS. Why don't you show me some stats on all those backs, excluding Helu, when Rex was down? Maybe our 3-7 string RB's should move to the offensive line ASAP. Also regarding your point on Marlon Lucky...he WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE BEST backs to play at NU?!?! Hmmm...call me crazy, but unless you mean to say THE BEST EVER WITHOUT QUESTION, I'm pretty sure these numbers qualify him as ONE OF the best. I actually liked Lucky, my point was that even though he did have a good career his field vision was below average. How many times did Lucky scamper behind the line and eventually get tackled for a loss? What I was trying to say is that Rex has great field vision he is always moving forward, if Lucky would have had that ability he would have probably been one of the top 5. Do you really think that Lucky was one of the best backs ever at NU? Really? Yes I saw the stats and I don't care.
  8. I respectfully disagree. I would have to respectfully disagree as well. While I was watching the Stanford game I was thinking that Rex and Gerhart look very similar in their running styles and abilities, although Rex is not quite as good as Gerhart YET. I do think that next year that could be different even with Helu as the #1 back in the 1-2 punch. We have to remember that he looks like a good solid back as a true freshmen, and if he continues to work to improve every year there is no doubt he will be spectacular by the time he is a senior. Rex Burkhead 5'11" 200 lbs Toby Gerhart 6'1" 235 lbs I'm sorry guys, but this one isn't even close. Gerhart is at least twice the runner Burkhead is. I love the kid, but let's not put these Marlon Lucky expectations on him. We all know how he had to deal with that one in a hospital.... Why are we comparing Toby with Rex? Is it because they are both white- I really hate that. Anyway I disagree with your assessment regarding Gerhart. Yes, Gerhart is great and he runs behind one of the top offensive lines, a great quarterback and gets the ball about 30-35 times a game. Oh and I forgot about the fact he has a fullback to run behind. Plus Garhard is a bruiser back. A few things that I love about Rex 1) He is able to find the seems 2) He runs hard 3) He can block 4) He can catch 5) He is fast. Why don't we think Rex is fast? He hasn't really had a chance to get more than say 15 carries and he is always running between the tackles. Plus our quarterback and offensive line is average at best. And one more thing about Marion Lucky if he would have had the field vision of Rex he probably would have been one of the best backs to play for NU.
  9. My school buddies. This is why you are sitting through class. I gratuated from UNL in 1994. I am a ERP Systems Consultant. I am working with a client on site and billing out $200 an hour and reading/writing on Huskerboard. Thats why you are in school. Hang in there- Go Huskers
  10. Then get a safety! And get the ball back up 2-0. I like how you think. Genius! Who's going to see that coming? Know one I am losing it, Thursday can't get here fast enough.......
  11. Ok - Ok wait I got it. If we win the coin toss elect to kickoff first. Then onside the kick, once recovered, now follow me on this one, punt the ball on first down and pin them deep. No need for trick play fellas - just play hard and freekn win.
  12. 1. Nebraska D-line Vs. Mizzo O-line Trouble with Suh, but he's doubled. 2. Nebraska O-line Vs. Mizzo D-line NU has trouble with Mizzou defensive ends (big time speed) 3. Nebraska DB's Vs. Mizzo WR's NU has a tough time - too much speed and good throws. 4. Nebrasaks WR's Vs Mizzo DB's Push. Both need more talent. Mr MUTigerFan, Can you answer a question for me? What do you mean when you say more speed and more talent? Do you really believe that all of a sudden MU has some freakish athletes on there team and NU has nothing close? This really confuses me. I would even debate that last year the talent gap (whatever that is) was closer than you think. It comes down to execution and confidence in what you are doing as a football team. MU came into last years game with confidence and a complete understanding of how to execute there offence. NU came into last year’s game with a new coaching staff and very low confidence. Teams that have talent and depth -Florida -Texas -USC -Alabama After these teams you could look at the top 40 and there first team would be close to the same talent level. What separates these top teams from the rest is talent depth. Now I will listen to the argument about guys like Macklin, Reggie Bush etc. these guys are special.
