  1. Since 10/23/10 Nebraska is undefeated. How's that for living in the now? I don't know what to say to that. TuffTiger where are you!?
  2. 2007 to date they are 37-11. Only a handful of teams have performed better. Live in the NOW Joey!
  3. Torax3, Martin has stated that he was laughing about being tired from running, and having to go back out for kickoff coverage. You're welcome not to believe him, of course. I hadn't heard that and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I agree with the people that say this wouldn't be an issue if the guy had gotten up right away or if Martin had knelt down on the field and waited for him to get up (rather than squat flexing over his lifeless body). As it was it's the perfect media clip for this issue. There is no way the BIG12 was going to have that hit played over and over on 60 minutes talking about how dangerous the sport is becoming and how the BIG12 did nothing.
  4. This isn't surprising with the buzz on this issue. However it does seem harsh. Does he generally see much PT other than special teams? He a second string LB?
  5. I agree that they won't....or at least that I won't. However I think you are wrong about the importance of the win. If we lose we will have basically proven nothing. Just another good season. Hopefully a Cotton Bowl. However a win would mean we could moon walk our way into the CCG. Probably a BCS game also. Last week MU fans were cautiously optomistic at best. This week they are going nuts. I've never seen the POWERMIZZOU boards so active. Most of the topics aren't even about OU. They have moved on and want this win in the worst way.
  6. We've both had our issues with a SDSU. I admit that Missouri's was worse. We should have played better that game. We gave up some really big plays. They may have been flukes, but it does make me worry about T-Mart and his big play ability. There are two things I'm fairly certain will happen in this game. One is that Missouri will load the box, put a spy on T-mart and make him prove the OSU game wasn't a fluke by beating us with his arm. The other is that the Nebraska front four won't get pressure. If Missouri doesn't move the ball well it won't be the fault of their O-line. Can't wait! My first trip to Lincoln. I'm tempted to get in the car and drive up right now.
  7. Franklin will definitely see at least one snap. I think a better question is which team attempts the fake punt first?
  8. yep. The roles have been changed! And I like it! hehe Exactly. Why don't you guys stick around a few more years and we'll create a North rivalry that actually means something.
  9. beat UCLA who beat Texas who beat Nebraska. So... K-State beat two of the teams that beat Texas. That's interesting. So K-State is better than everyone. No. That would be Missouri.
  10. Why did you pick those stats? Hmmm. I admit I cherry picked, but the orginal stats posted were mostly by yards....which favors Nebraska. The fact is that to date Nebraska has done a better job of keeping their opponents in front of them and forcing punts. The Missouri D has more big play ability and has been better in the red zone. Both O-lines have allowed very few sacks. Although I guess as much credit could go to T-Mart as the Nebraska lineman.
  11. Don't stereotype. I for one have never worn jhorts. Liar. Your pockets were hanging out the bottom of your cut-offs as you typed this response. How did you know? I haven't been this freaked out since I started getting all those male enhancement junk-mails. How do they know I need that?
  12. Don't stereotype. I for one have never worn jhorts.
  13. I don't get the reference. What happened to Kansas in 2007? KU backed into the Orange Bowl after they lost to MU head to head and MU lost to OU in the title game. I hate Mizzou, but that was a hose job. You were supposed to let him answer that. I know very well what happened in 2007. HA! Thanks for saving me the humiliation DJ.
  14. He has been good this year. And he starts for a reason. But with that said we rotate our DL and since we got Burge and Aldon Smith back this last week it could have been alot worse than it currently is. FYI Hamilton went down i think about midway through the first. So they basically played the whole OU game without him. I was extremely worried about losing Hamilton because DT is where we have the least amount of depth. However MU did play significantly better defense in the second half of the OU game. In addition to that we could see Missouri line up 4 DEs on occasion like they did against Illinois. It worked at containing Sheelhause, so hopefully it can do the same for Martinez. His breakway speed is my number one concern.
  15. Absolutely teams feel disrespected by Vegas betting lines, and play with a chip on their shoulder because of them. That's not unusual at all. Really? Can you site any team that has even mentioned Vegas betting odds? Serious question, I have never heard of it before. Link It's ironic looking back because another huge win later they still have plenty of doubters.
  16. Sure it is all about the money. Vegas put the line in a position where they think the bets will come in evenly on each side. So basically they feel that half the betting public believe MU can't even stay within 7. A significant amount of the other half probably feel MU can keep it within 7 but will still lose. They may not feel so much disrespected, just an overall lack of it.
  17. If you guys end up in the CCG against Okie St., then it will probably be because you won this weekend. If both those things happen then I will be the biggest NE fan. If you all win the CCG then MU would still have a chance at 11-1 to back their way into a BCS bowl (See KU 2007).
  18. I promise this year I'll ignore all comments about the meth issues in Missouri.
  19. I think the key to the game is every husker fan showing up in black or gold to convince our players it's an away game. Also, a few purchases of sticky tack for the receivers would help. All you crazies who think it'd be cool to do a B******... Well, the time has come. Also, we should be loud when the offense is on the field, and stay quiet with the defense on the field. Better yet, just give all your tickets to actual MU fans. I'd be happy to take them off your hands. I won't even charge you much. I promise you our fans will do our best to simulate a hostile road environment. :locked:
  20. Wow that's way different than CBS. Missouri - 8 Nebraska -34 CBS Considering the fact that CBS bases their SOS on guys like Dennis Dodd and Sagarin's rankings are an actual part of the BCS formula, I'll take Sagarin's word for it over CBS'. HAHA! Dude, I seriously doubt they let Dennis Dodd decide on each teams' SOS. However, even if they did let me run this by you: CBS has Missouri ranked overall at #6 Jeff Sagarin has them ranked overall at #2 Which do you think is more accurate?
  21. Do you consider the bubble screen a run play? If so, we are definitely a balanced offense.
  22. Wow that's way different than CBS. Missouri - 8 Nebraska -34 CBS
  23. Here are a few more good ones (this is only through week 6): cfbstats Tackles for Loss #17 Missouri--48 #119 Nebraska--21 Sacks #6 Missouri--20 #68 Nebraska--11 Sacks Allowed #20 Missouri--7 #31 Nebraska--8
  24. Not really. Missouri was a 3.5pt dog at A&M and a 3pt dog at home to Oklahoma. Considering the game is in Lincoln it just seems like they are being consistent. Missouri knew they would be underdogs through this entire three game strech.
