Time to get my double post on, since I am awake and alert. Since just about every Nebraska recruiting story is now about "The Big 3" that are left, and essentially all three are usually mentioned in the same sentence now, do you think either Owa or Cooper are following what the other is doing? In sort of a "if he's N, I'm N" type of a thing? One would assume they know about each other, and they probably know that if they both end up N, our defensive class will be extremely stacked. It'd be nice if they contacted each other and said "hey you wanna be a part of something awesome?" Oh well, one can hope...

Does this mean that he and the coaches think Cranes (j/k) is essentially N?? Or is Fajardo just seeing that he's the second option and he's getting out while he still has some time to check other places out (and he's assuming Carnes is N just because we've been recruiting Carnes the hardest?)

All of a sudden there is sure a lot of in this thread. I suppose this is just a way for some people to soften the blow if he doesn't commit, but folks, the sky is not falling here. Worst case scenario is he commits to some Pac 10 school that will not exceed mediocrity when he is there. At least we will likely not have to play against him. I'd really be upset if he was picking some Big 12 North school or something. Let's hope for the best and see what happens!!

I like the idea of Saturday night better than Thursday night, but day and time don't matter. Our boys will be gunning for Texas. I can't wait for the matchup.

As frustrating as this roller coaster has been, I have had a good time with this Huskerboard Hall-of-Fame-worthy thread. In sixty years my grandkids will come running into the house and yell "Tell us the one about the Owa thread again, grandpa!"

The kid is so likable that if he doesn't end up here, I would probably find myself tuning into his games no matter where he ends up just to see how he ends up doing. However, that won't be necessary, because he will see the light. In Carl he Trusts.

So was he close to being N a couple days ago, and now is back to wavering? Or was the chatter about him being so close to N inaccurate? I suppose there's no way to really know, but I'd be especially nervous if he almost committed but we are now losing ground to the other two.

Why can't he just see it our way? It's so obvious to us that the best choice is Nebraska! *shakes fist*

RUMOR ALERT. PLEASE TAKE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. A friend of mine who has better access to things than I do just told me that Owa has eliminated Oregon and is now reconsidering Oregon State. My friend "has a bad feeling about Owa" at this point. I have no cites or sources. Can anyone with a Rivals account check things out on RSS and give us vague statements about whether or not we should be worried?

Reggie Bush's name isn't too terrible all by itself, but in the NFC Championship game, when the radio announcer yelled "BUSH MUFFED!"...I chuckled.

Owa also decided not to play the "hat game" at the Army All-American game because he feels it is too showy. This kid has class...which I think goes way beyond his recruiting stars. The fact that he is a 5 is kind of a bonus, IMO.

Good take. If this is a factor for Owa at all, I would guess it's towards the bottom of the priority list...right below "Size of Coach's Nose" and just above "Number of Sled Hills in Town."

That makes sense. If I recall correctly (from like 25 pages ago...), Owa wasn't completely stoked about majoring in 'economics,' so if that's the closest UCLA offers, and that's a big thing for him, hopefully it sways him away. (This may all be my shoddy memory misquoting a bunch of hearsay quotes anyway.) No one tell him the probability that he will change his major anyway! (Edit-HTML FAIL)

Normally, you are right. While UCLA has better academics overall, I think the issue was that UCLA didn't have the program/major that Owa was looking to get into...was it a business major or a business school or something? I hope I am remembering that correctly.

Hmmm. The longer this goes on the more nervous I get. It might still be hard to get him to leave home . . . especially if the schools are tied otherwise. Yeah...that makes me nervous too. From some of the chatter on the board earlier, it made me feel as if we were way in the lead.

Ugh. I had two Owa dreams last night. Let's ignore whatever pathology that indicates, and just take a look at the dreams: One of them, I was at Oregon's stadium...the crowd was full of Oregon fans dressed in whatever green monstrosities Nike made for them. The players on the field, who were equally as poorly dressed, formed two rows by the tunnel, just like the UNL Marching Band does right before the Huskers run out onto the field. All of a sudden, Owa runs out of the tunnel with his arms in the air...the crowd goes wild. He was "O." In the second dream, I'm driving around Lincoln and my buddy texts me with "Owa is N." All of a sudden I have to slam on the brakes of the car because Husker fans begin streaming out of their houses, into the streets and onto their lawns, celebrating wildly and chanting "OWA, OWA." Which one will come true?

At least we actually have some football to distract us today.

He replaced the original flawed picture with an updated one that corrected the mistakes that we called out. If he was just playing naive messenger ("I don't know if this is real or not, but...") why would he fix and re-upload the flawed picture? Sorry to hate, typical, but if you truly don't know if the picture is real or not, why did you change it after we pointed out the mistakes?

I hate to even play this game but this is Owa's fb profile as of 6:09 pm tonight (aka just a few min ago). Don't buy that crap that typ3kal is trying to sell us.
