  1. You're welcome, Husker Fan. Very truly yours, Wild Bill
  2. This is pretty easy to reply to, but since I don't feel like talking to a troll today, I'll refer you to the video montage of the turnovers that somebody posted on the board this afternoon. Are you implying that all of the turnovers were "flukes" and that ISU had nothing to do with them? Please explain your generalizations. Take a look at the video and decide for yourself. I think you could make a solid argument that ISU "caused" only 3 of those turnovers at the most. At least 3 of them were bizarre, to put it mildly. The rest were just idiotic plays by a bunch of inexperienced players. If those specific plays don't support my argument well enough, then let me also add that I think the whole confluence of f#*k-ups by NU on Saturday defines "fluke" pretty well. Given Nebraska's body of work this season, I think anybody would objectively say that the ball control problems exhibited on the field on Saturday were an anomaly. Roy Helu hadn't even put the ball on the turf all year, to my knowledge. Suddenly he's Jamaal Charles in a Chiefs uniform. I'm not saying NU is an excellent offensive team by any means, but no matter how unimpressed you are with Nebraska, I think you have to admit there was some Twilight Zone sh#t occurring. There. I'm done feeding the trolls. Could you be any more general? When I say specific, tell me...Helu's fumble was fluke because... Lee's interception was fluke because...

  4. Lee looked better? Other than throwing the bubble screen parallel to the line of scrimmage, he was very erratic at best throwing the ball down the field. The fact is that Lee threw three picks including the game-clincher. The pass to McNeil was 3-4 feet behind him and Iowa State was fortunate enough to pick it off. Combine his inaccuracy with the fact he can't run the zone read, his days are numbered as Nebraska's starting Quarterback if things don't improve for him quickly. Turnovers are part of the game. Hindsight is always 20/20. The o-line sure looked better...especially Keith Williams berrating Robinson after his fumble trying to fight for extra yards. Way to be a teammate.
  5. Would you mind referencing the "fluke" plays on Saturday that would have effected the outcome of the game? By fluke, I'm referring to a near-miracle. It's football, players fumble, throw picks, and screw up. Football is the most complex game on planet earth. 11 men have to do their job to succeed. Other than Niles Paul's fumble as the ball hit his hip after tip-toeing the sideline, what play was "fluky?"
  6. Straight from the Board's rules.... That should about cover the "no rules broken" argument. It is, ironically, rule #1. The only negative response is from In the Deed the Glory and knapplc. I'm not trying to drum up negative responses. Some just don't want to hear my point of view about the state of Husker football. There is an "Ignore" function.
  7. Which is it? You're advocating ceding the board to a troll in your first line, then you're filled with angst over Nebraska ceding the game to ISU, TT and others in the next paragraph. Defending your home field doesn't just apply to football. PS - thanks for continuing to pay so much attention to my posts. Quoting me was priceless. If you refer to your favorite online message board as "home field," you have bigger issues than disputing what I or anyone else says on here. This season is an absolute WORST case scenario for Husker fans. Bo Pelini was brought in to "restore the order" and bring Nebraska back to competing year in and year out for a Big XII championship. The loss to Iowa State may be the biggest set-back to the Nebraska football program EVER. The fact is that this is the coach Nebraska fans implored the program to hire. This is "their" guy. If he doesn't work, then what? Nebraska can't finish 7-5 or even 8-4 every year. It's flat out unacceptable. With the world of college football the way it is now-a-days, many teams...whether it's Oklahoma, Texas, USC, or Miami...will go through these cycles. Being a national championship contender one year is great, but to do it year in and year out is incredible. Unfortunately, many people around here are still holding on to expectations from the mid-90's when Nebraska stomped Iowa State and won National Championships. Maybe your expectations are in need of an adjustment, not necessarily this talent-less (sans Ndomukong Suh) football team.

  9. My original reply to this topic was... "Good to see ESPN being realistic. Arkansas would win by 30+ vs. Nebraska." That's not trolling. It's giving an opinion. I checked the links and read the thread title post and responded. No harm, no foul. Merely because my response wasn't "Nebraska will win out and be in the Fiesta Bowl" or "ESPN sucks" doesn't mean I was out of line or out of reality. Lets all stay on topic.
  10. Please take the “battle” to the woodshed. There is no need for this to take place in this thread. Everyone please stay the course. Will do...back on track. My apologies.
  11. Were you offended by "weakling?" If so, I apologize. Sincerely, The reason why dodge ball is no longer allowed in PE anymore.
  12. Wow. Looks like we struck a nerve... It's cool, man...we don't care if you are a 'cat person.' To each his own. And let me add this: I don't care if I hurt your feelings by questioning your credibility. You're a troll, and all of your posts support that fact. So, you may as well stop giving us all your 'baww, I never got personal,' and 'baww, I DID play college football' drivel. You didn't play college football, and you own 35 felines. Cheers. P.S., H8ter? Is that you? Between letting you add this and the P.S., do you have anything else for me? Feel free to add whatever you like. I will not confine you to 200 characters per post. I did play college football and do NOT own any felines. Who's H8ter? Keep following weaklings. Do you play PS3 or Xbox? And from what I hear it's quite common to go from playing college football to trolling on internet message boards and living vicariously through Iowa State. Good work, guy...keep it coming. No, I do not play video games. The last video game that I played was Madden 97 on Sega Genesis about 12 years ago. Smilies are weak. Keep following weaklings. So you go from playing college football to trolling message boards and living vicariously through Iowa State? What a fall from grace... Are you Ryan Leaf or Chase Daniel?...can't quite put my finger on it yet. BTW, IBTL. Not quite as big of a fall from grace as... YOUR NEBRASKA FOOTBALL PROGRAM! Uh oh. I'll continue to live vicariously through Iowa State, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, etc. All of which have beater Nebraska the last time they played.
  13. knapplc, You would be my #1 follower on Twitter. Thank you for following, weakling.
