  1. tell me how the officials screwed us. we got a huge call by texas getting pinned at the one yard line when the return man never had possession when he was on the ground
  2. oh god. we'll get no recognition for beating them. we need to play oregon state or else our bowl game is worthless
  3. let's look at some positives alex henery is a nebraska football god. 5/5 vs va tech. shoulda won because of him. 4/4 vs texas. shoulda won because of him. hopefully your contributions next year lead to victories alex! we have a real shot at going undefeated if the offense is bad rather than dreadful!!!
  4. zac is really bad but his mistakes were the equivalent to punts. cody may have completely lost it himself... lets hope next year he steps up because if zac lee has a to start for us, we won't be any better than this year
  5. Day by day! DAY BY DAY! We get worse and worse! WE GET WORSE AND WORSE! At finishing games! AT FINISHING GAMES! CANT FINISH GAMES! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
  6. hahahaha this made me die laughing. after it happened i said... at least if nebraska loses tonight, i can be happy that tim tebow cried on national TV. i have to stick top my word. it was awfully hilarious. he choked up when he was being interviewed. i died laughing
  7. come on guys. matt barkley is the number one recruit in the country and he is struggling. hell prima donna jimmy clausen wasn't even good until this year. now he is projected the number one QB drafted. cody green will be fine here. lets hope its next year that he steps up cuz zac sucks
  8. watson is good at what he wants to run. he cant run it with the personnel available at nebraska. get a new offense. let watson go to the SEC or Pac-10 with his offense
  9. how is that not the biggest flaw? the fact that a team can drop lower than they were before because they lost to a team that SHOULD HAVE beat them. it doesn't prove that they are any worse. if voters actually voted based on who they thought was the best 25 teams, nebraska would move up at least 5 spots in the poll this week. if a field goal is pulled 2 feet further to the left, we are a top 15 team. but since it went in, we are suddenly an unranked team. that just doesn't make sense to me
  10. i don't care what they think either! i'm just saying that college football rankings are flawed by this fact! if you disagree with that fact... please respond to this
  11. agree nexus. we really have to win our bowl game. right now i'm decently happy with tonites game, but with a loss in the bowl game i feel like the offseason will be full of negativity. we have to beat OSU/arizona/stanford... whomever we play. the only team i could possibly see us losing to out of those three is stanford though
  12. rankings may not matter for us now... but i'm just saying that it shows how flawed college football is what if we had our offense of last year? winner of the Big XII champ game tonite plays in the national champ game... and it woulda been us
  13. after losing on a last second field goal against a team in the BCS National Championship at a neutral site (basically a home game for Texas). if voters were intelligent, we'd move up a few spots in the rankings rather than possibly drop out of them altogether
  14. THUGGERY!!??!?!?!?!?! WHAT?!?!? he was trying to make a play and accidently grabbed the shoulder pad. if anyone is to blame for making a bad play in the last minute, its kunalic
  15. to be honest... i hate this "smilie" the point of sarcasm is to act like you are being serious and see who catches on... so posting this smilie defeats the point of even making a sarcastic comment
  16. obviously our offense is dreadful. i've always disliked watson, and i've never disliked more than i have now. but the bottom line is, when all we had to do is get a defensive stop, kunalic chokes by giving them the ball at the 40. i still love and support adi, but you can't deny that he choked at the end of this game.
  17. for the record i've never liked watson. i was p.o.'d when bo kept him here. he may be a smart offensive mind, but it will never work for nebraska football. we simply can't recruit the type of players to make it possible. when you can't learn the playbook until your junior season, then you need top recruiting classes every single year to have any offensive production. we need an alabama style of offense and thats final
  18. did the coaches tell him to angle the last kick towards the corner? because if so... thats an awful decision i think kunalic tried too hard to boot it out of the end zone and shanked it. if so... he lost the game for us. its a 20 yard difference and that field goal probably never is attempted. apparently kunalic is going to redshirt next year to be our place kicker for 2011-12, but if he isn't clutch enough to keep the most important kickoff in a long time for us inbounds, how can he be clutch enough to make a game winning field goal? geez i wish henery could be here longer...
  19. don't understand how anyone can think spankytoes was serious. for anyone that couldn't read his sarcasm there, you're less intelligent than spankytoes would have been had he really not known who Suh was
  20. mason crosby's stats were skewed because of his long fg attempts. he's the best college kicker i've ever seen and easily should have won that award. most big name kickers don't make it right away in the NFL (see Ohio State's Nugent and many others) and Crosby started his rookie season. him not winning the groza shows that these awards are jokes. lets see if Suh wins all the awards he's up for, otherwise my opinion on these awards aren't changing
  21. Rivals is kinda making me angry by dropping him lower and lower every week in the special teams power rankings. he hasn't been hitting his long field goals this year, but obviously they aren't recognizing his punting. it didn't bother me much until oklahomas kicker was just moved into the rankings this week for "ranking third in the nation in net punting". rivals must not be aware that henery punts too and is doing a damn good job. this shouldnt bother me but it does a little bit...
  22. prince will take him, especially with dennards injuries lately but hagg doesn't get enough credit. i still think he's our best lock on corner.
  23. well if green comes here and they split time it could make it tough for burkhead to win it without being a "feature back". IMO i don't see green coming here unless we stick to the type of offense were running now. he doesn't want to be a spread back
  24. i think oklahoma's receivers are equal to texas' receivers. if UT had Jones and OU had McCoy (or Bradford back), you'd be hearing a lot about Broyles and not so much about Shipley. but yes, McCoy vs. Jones is a huge difference, as I stated in the OP. I just don't think people realize that this is truly the only thing that makes UT better than OU this year. i'm predicting the loss because McCoy won't throw 5 picks. we're gonna need some luck
  25. Oklahoma's record may not show it, but they are still a darn good team missing a QB. I see the only difference between these teams being the QB play. This is obviously a huge difference, McCoy vs Jones I mean, but Texas isn't as great as everyone thinks. Oklahoma has better running backs and they both have great playmakers at receiver and defenses IMO are pretty equal. We'll need a lot help from turnovers and our RB duo has to step up big time next week, but I don't think this team is much better than OU. I'm predicting: NU 10 UT 24 But with a few fortunate breaks, we can definitely pull it out.
