I know this might be stretching the post kind far now, but, has anyone thought about possibly Rex Burkehead as QB? He did play some QB in high school, and I see him much like an Eric Crouch.

Has anyone given the thought of possibly Rex Burkehead playing the QB position? I know this is stretching the topic pretty far now, but he did play QB in High School and I see him much like an Eric Crouch.

I think Watson is a good coach, but the fact that the only identity we found on the offense this year was to run power football shows you that his coaching philosophy and what Bo or husker nation wants does not match. That, and also the fact that both he and gilmore were held over from the Callahan era doesn't bode well. I would be surprised if we keep Watson and continue to run his version of the west coast. Forgot to mention we lost Curtis Carter which would have been a key component to Watson's offense. Plus, we're trying to recruit Green in the 2011 class and he prefers to run out of the power I. All things are indicating to me that there will be a change. The only thing holding back Bo is probably his friendship with Watson at this point.

I think Green needs to start and we need to design some running plays with this dude. With Zac we've become too dependent on his arm and decision making and even his running ability. For some reason we always have Lee run the ball at least 5 times a game and it seems that he never gets more than a couple yards. If we're going to do this, put Green in the game. Plain and simple we need to run the ball more on offense and use Green in that attack. Even against a good defense like VT, we still put a ton of yards on the ground. It seems like the offense does decent when we run on first and second down. We are terrible and predictable when we have to pass. I hope this week the qb job goes to Green. At this point, this is the only change that will yield some type of hope and optimism for the team. If he does bad, we can go back to Lee, but for the time being, start Cody Green!!!
