  1. It's gonna take Cody a couple possessions to find his rhythm.
  2. That CU TD drive was awful. Yeah they need to fix that. I also feel like maybe they're either: A - Tired B - Saving their energy for Texas Either way, no excuses for allowing those kinds of drives with the D we have. Altitude gets to you the bigger you are the more mass the worse it is SUH and Crick No doubt. I mentioned this issue in another thread the other day.
  3. Hope we can score right out the gate in the 2nd half. Demoralize them early and then just manage the game.

  5. Would love to see at least 3 pts. come outta this drive b4 we head to halftime.
  6. They're letting the O get in a rhythm. C'mon D wake up.
  7. I foresee Burkhead putting on about 15-20 lbs. in the years to come. He'll be like Toby Gerhardt in a couple years just mowing people down like its nothing.
  8. Yeah that was a hard fought game last night. I was rooting for A&M too, but y'all played with a lot of heart out there. Your future looks bright. Coach Sherman will right the ship next year.

  10. Colorado is always tough regardless of their record. The fact that they have nothing to gain or lose going into this game makes them all the more dangerous. Not to mention the high altitude can be daunting to play in if you're not used to it. On a side note, don't be surprised if A&M pulls off an upset against Texas tomorrow. Afterall, A&M have won 8 of their last 12 games against the Longhorns. They also have the advantage of playing at home, so you know the 12th man will be fired up.
  11. While stats alone don't paint the whole picture, I felt it was relevant being that KU played NU & Texas back-to-back weeks. I have no intention of randomly comparing other teams. In the case of your anti-suggestion of TTU for example, they played them a month apart from each other. You'd have to factor in small details like injuries, progress, etc. Not to mention Taylor Potts started for TTU against Texas, whereas Sheffield started for TTU against NU.
  12. Curious to know if Hansen will start? He injured his thumb against Texas and was replaced by Hawkins.
  13. Maybe Nunn will be joined by Suh come next season? I've seen mock drafts saying the Bucs would be in line to draft him in the 1st round, so who knows? Could happen I guess?
  14. FYI, Texas plays A&M on Thursday.
  15. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I like our chances going into this game. NU has to embrace the role of the underdog and lay it all out on the field for 60 minutes. The pressure is on Texas since they have a lot to lose. Aside from the obvious, NU is playing for respect more than anything else, in my opinion.
  16. Missouri & Oklahoma were both #24 in AP at the time we beat them this year. Furthermore, Nebraska failed to beat a ranked opponent in 2008. Also bear in mind that those T.O. coached teams didn't play a bunch of ranked opponents back in the day either. OU & NU were consistently the ONLY teams ranked nationally from the Big 8 Conference.
  17. Cotton Bowl execs would be hard pressed to overlook the potential revenue of an NU vs LSU match up. Both are known for their loyal fanbases. It'll definitely sell out.
