ok, here we go. 3 and out. we are playing scared and with no bite, that throw by Martinez looked like something my 10yo would try in the street. now we have to throw, we'll get killed.

this Husker defense is so weak. the Buckeyes are going through like a hot knife through butter. too much pre season hype and the reality is that this is a poor team on both sides of the ball.

Yes if he comes out for the next series, it's pretty clear we have no freaking chance in this game. the kid is totally clueless, running into the short side and loads of defenders. this may be out of reach pretty soon as the Huskers look lethargic to say the least.

that means we would have to lose to Colorado.......I would rather have Cody Green as a starter than lose to Colorado JUST SAYING Well, the way the offense is playing, it wouldn't surprise me one bit for Colorado to win next week. for pity's sake, get your head out of your back pocket. we could play L'il Red at QB and beat Colorado at home. You cannot compare Colorado to A & M, regardless of who is the QB.

All they have to do is stop giving them cause to throw a flag. The kids know the rules, don't retaliate, don't remove your lid. After that kind of stupidity, the refs are going to be looking for any excuse to throw their flags.

Not sure, but un-expert lip reading skills looked like he said "Don't you f***king talk..." and that's what really all I could make out. Again, completely not an expert in this area, but I know an f bomb was dropped. he might have dropped one on Cody Green when he was forced to call a time out, and he was screaming at one of the other coaches. it makes my blood boil that they can't get a play off within the time allowed, either Cody is not understanding the play, or the coaches haven't got a freaking clue.

Who exactly are they gonna put it instead? Martinez on a bum ankle would be better. Who is the back up to the back up?

jeez, the offense is just turgid with Green in control. surely, there is someone on the bench who can do a better job than Cody Green. i've seen glaciers move quicker than he does, he may as well hold up the play to their defense.

absolutely chuffed to bits for the lad, he deserves his chance to go to New York and he has a long shot to win the trophy.

I hope bama opens up a big can of whup a$$ on Texas and turns the game into the biggest bore fest ever. As for Brown, he has gone right down in my estimation.

with a little bit of NCAA gravy on one side and BCS biscuits on the other. No way they wanted Alabama playing Cincinnati for all the marbles. sure, we could have put this out of sight by scoring 1 touchdown, or running off more clock, but we got screwed in the worst possible way. should there be an investigation? you bet there should, if only to ensure that this kind of crap does not happen again. one last thing, NE should move heaven and earth to make sure that the championship game is not always held in TEXAS, it's too much of an advantage when any of the Texas teams get into the game.

So, according to Ebyl, the game is refereed differently depending on the time during the game and the clock is managed differently as well. This kind of stuff drives me mad, why should a decision made in the 5th minute be different than one made in the 59th? It bugs me that in the fianl 2 minutes of the game, the refs run around like nutters getting the ball to the right spot. Why not in the preceeding 58 minutes? You see it in all sports, the refs let more stuff go unpenalized in the final periods of hockey and basketball so they can let the players decide the result. what kind of garbage is that. rules are rules regardless of when they are enforced. All people want to see is fair and consistent officiating within ALL the rules in any sport.

I don't think that people want us to "win" that way. It's all about getting a fair chance to compete in a game and decide it on the field. This game was full of poor decisions by the referees and poor plays from both teams. Sure, we kicked the ball out of bounds, we gave up a 15yd penalty, we did not run off enough time when we had the ball but the refs missed a hold when Texas had the ball and then "gifted" the Longhorns an extra second to win the game. This had fix written all over it.

I am pretty sure that Tom and Harvey will want to take a look at the rules and chat to the Big12. Nothing will come of this as the NCAA, BCS and Fox have dodged a massive bullet to get their 2nd choice dream match up. Alabama-Cincy would have been a disaster. Matt Davidson got it right when he asked why we snapped the ball with 11 seconds left on one of the plays on our final drive.
