  1. Another problem people have with repairing/rebuilding the Superdome... Doesn't make alot of sense spending millions on this building with 100's of thousands of people homeless, with little or no means to rebuild or repair.
  2. "Stupid Husker Board, these people are clueless! I'll go laugh at them on another site!" *scrounges in pocket for $20, finds $.13 and a Stoops For President button* *sighs and continues to troll* B)
  3. True, Chefs and Broncos both do suck...but that's in the past, at least for the Broncos. They look great so far. And oh yeah...only the Chefs swallow.
  4. Texas does not need another bowl. Atlanta or Orlando would be a decent place to play bowl games. Not to get too in-depth into the horrible events of hurricane Katrina, but isn't it saying something when people are thinking about NOT rebuilding a huge part of New Orleans? I understand the history, and that many people called the area their home...but does anyone really want to gamble on this happening again??? Here in the midwest, we only worry about tornadoes having the ability to destroy large areas. It hasn't happened since G.I. in 1980. And even that didn't level everything. Yes, a tornado will hit G.I. again. But most likely NEVER like the one in 1980. But hurricanes are different. Ask Florida how many devestating hurricanes they saw last year. You couldn't pay me enough to take those kind of risks. Thanks, husker fans, for helping out with the crisis. But if I was involved in it, I'd never go back.
  5. After watching everything transcend on Sat. night, I never did take a good look at our D packages. What were we using mainly? Not that it mattered much with our line penetration, but just curious what kind of standard Coz is setting for the D.
  6. Good point. The thing that worries me: If we turn the ball over 5 Times running limited, bread and butter plays, what the he11 happens when we open it up?!? Every 'new' play we run against Wake is a play that has NOT seen game experience this year. Now this can be translated into a good or bad thing...but given our track record thus far, you be the judge.
  7. I think it was Bowman that got hurt. Oh yeah, I think you're right...Grix and Green just didn't sound right. Thanks!
  8. Interesting...yet scary...take by you, Jake... Hmmm.
  9. Did anyone notice how Maine COMPLETELY picked up on Wilson coming into the game after...crap...was it Green or Grixby...SOMEONE got knicked up and left the game...Maine IMMEDIATELY called the long pass play to Wilson's side, and WHAMMO, TD. I have yet to hear us pick up a mismatch and take advantage of it. Please call me out if i'm wrong, I can and would LOVE to take it
  10. Not that this has anything to do with anything other than Leon Jackson, but I believe he has a wife or fiance, and a kid. That is the kind of thing that can make big $$$ look REAL good.
  11. Doesn't pretty much EVERY NFL game go into the 4th qtr. with both teams having a chance? He is probably right, but geez...playing the parity card into oblivion, aren't we Bill?
  12. Wow A Tom Shatel article appears, and NU fans complain about... The Denver Broncos??? Tom really knew how to get himself off the hook on this Huskerboard...distract them with Broncs!!! Nice to see lots of Broncos fans here, though!
  13. Well, at least he basically said the Chefs aren't going anywhere either
  14. I think he would be very beneficial at Sp. Teams until he gets his position under his belt. He is too good of an athlete to keep off the field too long, IMHO.
  15. I think Wake will be as dangerous as NU and the play-calling let them be. I think this is a VERY winnable game, even handily That being said, I also think this game is easily loseable(sp). If we come out predictable, don't play to our strengths, lose the pass rush and dominating d-line, let our O-line be pushed around by a Wake line that will only be better than Maine's, then it could be a HE11 of a bad night. And while I'm on my soapbox, one more thing... Where has the trick play went??? Does anyone have info on how many we ran last year? I'm not saying use them all the time, or even every game. But I remember TO, heck, even Frank (vs. OU) utilizing them to get us over the hump in games.
  16. I think this is partially possible, at least about the deep ball. This is Taylor at his best, and he did only throw deep once, and look what happened. So THAT part is possible. But there was NO excuse for lack of execution in the red zone. If what you are saying is accurate, and BC is using this as a glorified practice, then that means he was willing to LOSE the game on the scoreboard, seeing as NU was only up BY A SCORE in the 4th. In that case, he would NOT be a coach we need.
  17. Formerfan: I'm not trying to bash you, just wondering what you are a former fan of. Nebraska? I guess it's none of my business, but just curious. I hope you're a former fan of Iran, Ephedra, or the Detroit Red Wings. But not NU. I don't agree with alot of what's going on in Husker Nation, but I'm by my guys to the bitter end. It's been my experience that the people that suddenly 'dislike' the Huskers are the ones that like them the most. Just frustrated. That should be a common theme, I would think, anymore. Anywayz, carry on with the thread!
  18. There is NO WAY air horns are even ALLOWED in Lincoln. Grandma Mayor, who is 104 years old, doesn't allow it. Gas tax hikes on already rediculous gas prices...ALLOWED Parking fees downtown increased...ALLOWED Dead last in economic growth in USA...ALLOWED Loud noise that may disrupt Grandma napping on piles of $$$...DISALLOWED. Shame on all of you...airhorns, voices, whatever you use!
  19. WOW...I can't believe this has happened again to Eric Cr...err...wrong thread
  20. Congrats, Bo! Although it may be safe to say he took it from Steve-O by default
  21. I HOPE so...I don't want Lucky to be perfect QUITE yet
  22. The guys on 'Unsportsmanlike Conduct' (1620 AM) are commenting that they are pretty concerned with the play-calling mostly, and that Callahan just isn't understanding the college game well enough If this IS true, and it doesn't improve throughout the year...
  23. OK... HOW MANY TIMES did T.O., after a nice gain by RB for a first down, on 1st PA pass for a huge gain!!! All the freaking time!!! I think Callahan needs to pull some stops against Wake. Seriously. He needs to play-call the HE77 out of it. Not for us fans. But for the players. They need to see that he can LET them dominate a game by smarts, not just athletic ability.
