And I thought the reason they called it "March Madness" was because the seeding proved meaningless..Almost tempted to look up who you were talking about (#12 beating a #1) but still don't care about this "exciting end" to a boring season.

Really, I (want) to like the idea of playoffs because the majority is probably short sighted enough to make it inevitable but I fear it will just end up being NFL-lite.

I'd rather take the chance 37. All the BCS has done is create as many bowl games as they can in an attempt to get as much of the advertising dollar as they can. It's ruining what used to be a much revered aspect of college football.

I really don't think an 8 team playoff decided by voters will screw up the regular season all that much. I would think only 8 teams out of 120 making the playoffs would give enough incentive to win all your games. I would think that many voters would place a 2 early-season loss team in over a 1 late-season loss team. But that's just me.
