  1. This was our introduction on ESPN's College Football Scoreboard before they showed the lowlights. I don't like Mark May, but he ripped into BC and said changes must be made, specifically mentioning Cosgrove. He mocked BC after he said "I don't coach in fear" by saying "then why do you run the ball in the second half down by 38. At least give Keller a chance to make the score respectable." I have to agree w/ him. They showed the fans leaving at half. We have become the laughing stock of College FB.
  2. Thanks for the clarificatin. I agree the the WCO is complicated and needs to be an NFL offense. Maybe BC would be a good OC in the NFL, not a HC look what he did to the Raiders. Funny thing is we have these 300-400 plays and we only seem to run about 20 different plays. We can't even get them right. I would rather be good at running 20 different plays than be sh!tty at running 300.
  3. Does the writing say F**K OFF! I wish it did
  4. Here are some of the post-game quotes from Oklahoma State's 45-14 whipping of Nebraska. Husker coach Bill Callahan faced some tough questions after the game. On if he feels his job is in jeopardy: "I'm not worried about that. I'm just coaching for these kids, and that's why I got into this. I just feel terrible for these players. It just hurts to watch these kids hurt. I'm not worried about my job. I'm just going to do the best I can. Whatever happens, happens. I don't think you can coach in fear or coach like you're scared of something. I've never coached like that in my life. I've been in this business for 30 years, and I sure as hell ain't going to start now, that's for sure." On if he's lost the team: "I don't think so. I thought the way (we) came back in the second half was pretty indicative of their efforts. I thought (we) came back and competed. I thought (we) ran the ball better. We were getting a rhythm in the second half. We came up on the short end in some short yardage situations throughout the day, but aside from that, I just feel bad for these players. They're great kids. They work hard. I just want to produce a better result. That's the bottom line." On what was said in the locker room, down 38-0 at halftime: "We just wanted to be patient in the respect that I sensed the kids were a little tense, a little nervous. We got into our first third-down situation, and we drop the ball. I saw us commit a penalty on a first down. I saw some things that were uncharacteristic of our play, especially the penalties in the first half and the first quarter. That had a real effect. I was concerned at that point that our guys were pressing a little bit and were a little tense. I just wanted to calm them down and be patient. That's why we're trying to run the ball, especially in the early downs." On if it's possible to get this thing back on track: "There's always hope. It starts again tomorrow, and it goes through the week in our preparation for A&M. No one's going to feel sorry for us. We have to go back and fix it to the best of our ability and go back on the field and compete next Saturday against A&M." Quarterback Sam Keller said guys are "confused" and "angry". “I get a feeling that guys are hurting and they want this corrected. They want everything to be okay. It’s not that easy, when you’re hurting inside so bad," Keller said. "I know some guys are just searching for what’s going wrong. Some guys are confused or angry, but a lot of guys, myself included, don’t really know how to deal with this kind of situation and the weight of this situation.” Linebacker Bo Ruud shook his head in disgust while talking about the team's play in the first half. “That first half was just horrible," Ruud said. "It was the worst half I can ever remember playing, especially in a first half. That was just terrible. There’s no excuse for that. It was just poor.” It sounds like BC knows the end is near. I wonder if he was warned before this week that another poor performance would mean his head? I think he sees the writing on the wall.
  5. I don't agree with this statement. BC is not a fine coach. And you can't say he is doing a fine job w/ what he has to work with. According to the recruiting guru's we have had top 20 talent the last 3 years. Top ten in some cases. We have talent. We have NO heart, NO motivation, and Poor coaches. The no talent excuse is over. This is year 4. I do agree that Pud is a problem and needs to go NOW.
  6. I just heard the words execution and executed. What a joke.
  7. We just need a solution to the problem now. I can't go through the rest of this season with results like this.
  8. I don't know if there will be much name calling, except in the direction of BC & Pud. After last week and this debacle, most of the kool-aid drinkers see the problem now.
  9. "We just didn't execute. We had the right game plan, the players in the right place, we just didn't execute. We'll go back and watch the film of this game, make some adjustments and move on. My focus now is on Texas A&M"
  10. Isn't second and short a great down to throw the ball in the pro's?
  11. I'm going to the game in Lincoln. For some reason, I don't feel real excited though. It almost feels like a burdon now. I'll still go to support the team, and hopefully our new coach:)
  12. Castille has been a bright spot today, as he was the beginning of the season. Makes me wonder why BC hardly gave him the ball after he fumbled the ball 1 time a few games ago. Lucky doesn't get benched when he fumbles the ball.
  13. No, BC needs to go now also. This is just like the raiders. The O hasn't had a td in 6 or 7 quarters. BC is the hc, he is ultimately responsible for the team as a whole.
  14. How about a refund on tickets. I don't want to go to the game now. I am embarrassed at myself for supporting this staff financially.
  15. Husker fans, you're playing the biggest choke team in NCAA football. It wouldn't surprise me to see The Huskers come back and win this game. Look at what Ok State has done every single time they've had a big lead over the last few years. They've blown it. I have to say, I hope Nebraska gets a new coach soon and return to glory ASAP. I don't like seeing this one bit. Thanks for the support, but I don't see anyway in hell we come back. Can Callahan.
  16. The announcers are apologizing to the fans about the team. That is bad.
  17. I'm N if you mean firing Pud and Callahan, and Cosgrove. this is downright embarrassing.
  18. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but drop him a line spederson2@unl.edu
  19. "I think from my own experiences that overreactions generally cost you somewhere down the line," Pederson said. "And when you take a long-term view of things they generally work out. Well he is finding out firing a coach that went 9-3 (No matter who the coach is ) was a overeaction and now it's most likely going to cost him his reputation and job. And that's what it really comes down to, with all of this negativity and wailing and whining and wringing of hands . . . there is still a core of Solich supporters that are chomping at the opportunity to get even with Pederson for firing him. They are doing their level best to destroy this program as an act of revenge. Pederson did the right thing. Solich was truly running the Huskers into the ground . . . his odd player relationships (remember the Crouch affair?) really didn't look good, and he couldn't recruit for beans. The old option offense lost its luster, everyone had learned how to defend it, and I don't think that Solich was too big on the idea of change. Pederson selected a good, reputable coach, and that is where we are today. Pederson does not coach the team, and you have to look at all of NU's athletic programs before you continue to defame him. Nearly evey other athletic program is progressing very well, and that says something. And the football program will progress, too, if the mob can be held at bay. And, please, stop calling him "Pud." That's childish and disrespectful. GO BIG RED!! Man, I want some of what your smoking. I want to live in this little fairy land. Wake up everymorning, be served breakfast in bed by 2 naked supermodels, watch the huskers win 100-0 hold the opposing O to -27 yards, pass for 9 td and run for 5. Have beer flowing freely out of my faucets then sh!t rose petals. Are you related to Pud?
  20. It appears that many of the fans see the same things he does. I have to say that I think he is correct.
