  1. It looks like Josh Bullocks to me. Could be wrong though.
  2. Everidge only had 138 yards rushing. That is more than the whole NU team combined for the last 3 games. I would say everidge had a damn good day running the ball, passing is a different story. Its the mobile qb syndrome again.
  3. Very Cool! Thanks for looking that up! Taylor broke a record that stood for 30+ years! And the season ain't over yet! Each completion is a new record. He also shattered the single game record for completions and passing yards! BTW, what are the yardage stats? BEAT CU!! Humm passed for 2074 yards, and I believe ZT has thrown for 20 more yards than that (2094). One more game to go to distance that record. Hopefully he will throw for 400+ yards.
  4. I guess that's why Dailey started the entire year after BC brought in 3 QB's more designed to fit his offense? Seems to me that if you follow that insane logic then Beau Davis or Ganz would have been taking snaps in 04 instead of Dailey, right? JD was the only QB w/ experience. The other choices were fr. We saw what happened when Davis played. Ganz was a true freshman. I believe Adams would have had a shot to play if he hadn't have gotten sick.
  5. A stat guy can verify this but I believe Taylor has become the single season passing leader at Nebraska, passing guys like Humm and Feragamo. I'd say that qualifies him as a proven QB! Taylor will kick his butt in practice next spring and obviously has been so far this season or Cally would have started Beck ahead of him. JMO. Beck is back-up. Taylor is here to stay. And NU's passing records are out of this world. Your right ZT did break Humm's single season passing record set in 1972. It only took ZT 356 attempts and 196 completions to do it. Humm only had the opportunity to throw it 266 times and complete 140. ZT also beat Ferragamo's record of completions in a season. VF only had 145 completions out of 254 attempts. Stats courtesy of HuskerPedia.
  6. We've always been known for our tough non-confernce schedules. Look at 02 if you want to see how scheduling helps. Utah St, Troy St, McNesse St. Man those are some top level teams. Here's a fact for you. Dailey was 4th string behind Taylor, Ganz, and Davis. Beck is behind only Taylor. Dailey wouldn't have seen the field in that situation. Nice try with that though. Maybe just maybe those other guys passed Dailey because they were better then him. That's impossible though, I'm sure Callahan just wanted to run him out of town. Just some random thoughts. Its amazing how you go from first string one week to 4th string the next week. BC had to get HIS guy in there. Im not a supporter of JD, but he got the shaft. It was best for him to leave because he would never get a fair shot again. If BC was smart he would have kept JD as an experienced backup to ZT this year. Now our 3 backups are Ganz who I don't believe has ever taken a snap, Beck a true freshman who had never taken a snap and is labeled the future, Davis who threw about 4 ints in his only appearance. It would just be nice to have someone in there with a little experience.
  7. I agree w/ ya. I think freeman sees an issue here. OU is looking for a capable backup for Bohmar. I know he has a friend that plays for OSU, but this doesn't look good.
  8. I wouldn't go so far as to say we will have a proven second year qb. He may start the year, but I see BillyC getting his player in there. I think it will be an interesting spring to see taylor and beck battle it out.
  9. There letting beck wing it. So much for eating up clock
  10. burn it up with only 1.25 games left???
  11. time to see who the real backup is this season
  12. No he hasn't. No reason to burn a redshirt on this crap performance. that's what I was thinking
  13. I missed the first half. Has beck played? Espn says he has rushed for 2 yards. But it also says McKeon is having a good day passing, 17-26 for 166 and a td. I am assuming ESPN is just f-ed up.
  14. another safety. Good call to throw the ball in the endzone
  15. Every starter we have on O line is a Solich recruit. If Im not mistaken. Solich recruited Murtha? That is what I was wondering? I thought Solich recruited Swift who was a teammate of Murtha's in HS. Then the BC crew came in and, along with Swift's help, got Murtha away from Minnesota and to NU.
  16. Really? Then how do you explain the blowout losses to Colorado and Miami in 2001, Penn St, Iowa St, Kansas St, Colordo in 2002, Texas, Missouri and Kansas St in 2003. Or do we only count run blocking against Troy St, Utah St, McNeese St, So Miss?? Explain how we were outscored 123-325 in those 9 blowout losses if run blocking wasn't a problem? It sure as hell wasn't our passing game now was it? Yeah!!!or the run blocking against Maine and Wake Forest. Or Western Illinois or Kansas in 2004.
  17. Even the former players see that something isn't right. He makes some good points.
  18. If he refuses an interview that makes him look guilty of not supporting the coaches. It's like taking the 5th amendment. When you take it, your not admitting guilt, but everyone is wondering why you don't just tell what happened. It just doesn't look good on his part. Of course he is not going to come out and say BC is a jack@ss or he is incompetant. He doesn't want to ruffle any feathers. He just wants to give the media their interview and maybe ease some of the criticism.
  19. apparently you not the only one. Pud's father decided to sell them rather than donate them. Journal Star "* SOLD … FROM PEDERSON’S DAD: Yes, it’s true. The father of Steve Pederson, Nebraska’s embattled athletic director, has sold two tickets to the Nebraska-Kansas State game. “It’s no story,” said Sen. Don Pederson of North Platte. “It’s no big deal. I had two tickets in a different location in the stadium, so I sold my other two I had for this game to a colleague for face value ($130). I will be wearing red and cheering for Nebraska as loud as ever.”"
  20. Is there a reason why both of the tackles that started for most of the year are on the injured list. Did they really get injured, or is it a coaching decision that says you suck, we will put you in IR to prevent any questions. Looks to me Like we are young at tackle now. A rFR and a True freshman. Might as well prep for the future, they can not block just like our previous tackles.
  21. Actually, don't be surprised if NU faces Ohio in the Independence Bowl. I would like to see that game played. Just for the media frenzy that would be involved. I think Ohio making a bowl game is a stretch thugh. They must win out. It is still a nice possibility to consider though.
  22. There is a difference between a missed tackle and a touchdown saving missed tackle. Yea, sometimes you have to read between the lines, but not when there is nothing there. There isn't always an ulterior motive, black helicopters don't fly over your house, etc, etc. The sad fact is NU has made quite a few touchdown saving tackles. Against OU I believe it was Grix that ran across the field and cut down peterson after he scampered for 50-60 yards. I know there have been others when our corners took the proper persuit angles and got the ball carrier before he made it in the endzone. The point is they have been giving up big plays and still are. It is only because of the hustle of a few players that these big plays weren't big td plays.
  23. Hey Former quick question have you ever posted anything positive about this staff. Our are you just so pissed peddy fired solich that it has blinded with rage that you target to he staff. Every post I have seen from you has been I told you they suck or we suck or the coaching staff won't do this or won't play to the strength of the players. All your posts have been laced with distaste for the coaches. just a question GBR Has there ever been anything positive this staff has done on the field? Hell Yeah I think the Tech game was one of the best called games I have seen but that is just me! It showed me sparks that with the proper talent we will be good that the wco can and will work in coll. And they still lost That should tell you all you need to know. According to one assistant, the Super Bowl was billy c's best job of coaching WOW! Does it ever show And had they not fumbled the ball and won, your excuse would have been "they only won by luck because of a tipped pass" What's your point? And they still lost!!! Luck is part of the game. I am sick of hearing this moral victory sh*t. If we played so well, we would have 6 wins and not be worrying about becoming bowl eligible, but which bowl we are going to go to. No we are fighting to make it to the toilet bowl.
