  1. Cold?? I was sweating all day.
  2. Did you guys actually watch Taylor when he threw the ball? or see the times he missed easy passes that would have gone for more yards, but chose to run it for 5 yards instead?
  3. This is the last post I will ever post in response to the Green haters... His passing was dead on today and much better than any point last season..
  4. SEE.....now you went and pi$Sed off the Cody Green Shippers© I never said Green should start ahead of Lee, I don't know how improved he'll be.... but Martinez can run, yes. he cannot throw anywhere near good enough, YET. also, Green should have had 4 more completions on balls the receivers just plain missed.
  5. Cody Green did a lot better than Taylor Martinez, I have no idea where talk of anything otherwise came from...
  6. I don't know what game you guys saw... Green looked great, he made 1 bad throw, but it wasn't dangerous, couple receivers dropped sure TD's from him too... Taylor could run, sure. but his throws were ugly and not accurate. Spano looked worse and threw some ducks out there.
  7. What you said, but replace #5 with Mr. Big Time
  8. I must have not been watching the same Baylor game that you were because the kid showed nothing in that game. As far as Texas Tech goes he finished below 7-16-1TD-1Int-87 yards, besides the nice TD throw he showed nothing in that game either. If people went back and watched any of his footage from last year without their “GREEN” goggles on they would realize he did nothing spectacular when he was given the chance to play, besides a nice throw in a meaningless 4th qtr against Texas Tech and a nice run in a meaningless 4th qtr against Florida Atlantic. I hope this kid turns out, I really do. That being said if he doesn’t and Taylor Martinez ends up being the man then I won’t lose any sleep over it. Some people seem to have a lot invested in the hope of Cody Green being the man and if you ask me that is pretty weird and a view point that I will never understand. I did not say that he looked good. I said he looked better than Lee... I want whoever is the best QB to be on the field, if that's Taylor, great.. My only point was that from my perspective Green looked better than Lee last season... That is not saying much..
  9. From what I have seen in games last year: Green looked better in his full game against Baylor than Zac Lee did after the first three games. He looked better against Texas Tech than Zac did against Tech... The Oklahoma game, it seemed to me like the play calling was just setting him up to fail, so I disregard that.. Also, it seems he has that QB luck that comes along every once in awhile, like when he makes mistakes bad things don't typically happen (this point is next to irrelevant)> I will withhold any doom and gloom judgement against Cody Green until I see him playing more.
  10. have you guys forgotten the most important thing? Cody Green is dead sexy and looks so perfect in a football uniform.
  11. I dont think they will either. Owa blind-sided quite a few of us. To be honest up until I learned that morning that Owa was not going to be a husker I was the most confident about him being N. I thought Carnes was long gone and I had no clue what Cooper was planning on doing. I dont know if I got many more wrong other than him though, but he was the big one. Kevin Williams loves our staff, he is coming down with his whole family, he loves Suh (who will be at the Spring Game), he moved his timeline up. So all of these things lead me to believe that he will commit to us sometime after the Spring Game but before summer as others have said. Where does Kevin fall in the overall picture of this year's DT choices? Both in general and on our coaching board? Williams, Russell, Norton, and Peat (in no specific order) are our big four I believe. I am not sure about the coaches' opinions but in mine Williams should be our top priority. He really is Suh-ish when you watch his videos. Well it sounds like that won't be much of a problem. So say all 4 want N... how many do we take? We took 2 DT's last year and don't lose any this year... Crick will be a Sr. next year (2011), Steinkuler will be a Jr.... everyone behind them will be back at least another year or more. Whoever commits first?
  12. 40 time matters a little, but .2 seconds does not.... if it was like 5.0 or something, then yes he's too slow
  13. Not saying he couldn't do it, just that it's rare to have a RB that tall
  14. he's too tall to play RB anyway
  15. I'm thinking we'll get at least 4 linemen and a QB for sure
  16. at 6'2" this makes more sense to me.
  17. I thought Texas didn't have room for anything but a DT, DE and RB..? For a kid like Josh Turner, you make room. Yeah, in case you didn't know he is BIG TIME I was waiting for that after the set up.
  18. I thought Texas didn't have room for anything but a DT, DE and RB..?
  19. Well as long as we get Westerman in on a visit, then..
