  1. Here is Kortland's Mid-Season Senior Highlight tape.
  2. Kortland earned Player of the Week Honors from the local news station (Channel 5). He ran for 160 and 4 TD's and threw for another 164 and 2 TD's against a bigger school in Parkway Central in Missouri. Here are a few clips of his performance on last Friday. Let me know what you guys think. Week 1 Highlights http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?bctid=597343865001 Player of the Week Video http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?bctid=599627459001 We still haven't gotten any offers, but we are hoping for the first one to come soon!
  3. ESPN rates Kortland as the #68 athlete in the nation. He is currently a 3 star and the #9 overall player in the state of Missouri. He was clocked at a 4.49 at the University of Illinois football campe. Here is a little bit of the write up on ESPN, but I am not an insider, so I don't know what the rest says. Webb is a speedy, explosive athlete playing as a dual-threat QB, but will end up as a slot receiver or cornerback at the next level with upside as a return specialist. He is sudden and elusive at the same time and has outstanding feet. Lacks great size and bulk, but...link to story
  4. Good to hear. His athletic ability fits the type of offense we appear to be headed towards. Is he dead set on playing QB? Or would he be open to playing WR or DB? I'm not sure if he is DEAD SET on playing QB, but that has always been his desire. However, he understands that schools are listing him as an ATH. So, yes, he is open to playing other positions, but his first desire to play QB. We will see how it goes. Good talking with you as always.
  5. Updated on Kortland Webb: Kortland just received an invitation to attend the Nebraska QB camp. He and our family is pretty excited!
  6. He is definately athletic enough to play D1 football IMO. I could see him as a DB at NU. Maybe a slot receiver. Dont be a stranger around here Coach Webb. If his recruitment takes off we are going to want to hear about it. Is he going to any junior days? Alright, will do. The coach from U of I, just contacted him and they want him to come to their Junior Day. The coach actually recruited me when I was in high school when he coached RBs at Northern Illinois. He said that he let one Webb get away (I signed with Eastern Illinois), and he will try his best not to let another one get away. Illinois is very interested in my brother. Also, he is getting looks and interest from Mizzou,Purdue,Mich State,Wisconsin,Nebraska...mainly Big 10 and Big 12 Schools right now. We are looking for a BIG summer at different camps and getting more interest. Good to hear that he knows he will get his college education paid for somehow some way. We wish him luck on behalf of HuskerNation. Tell him if he gets an offer from Coach Bo he better pull the trigger and commit!!! Alright, I will relay the message! Thanks! If Nebraska were to offer your brother, how interested would he be in going there? What would be his dream school to play for if he could go anywhere in the country? I think that he would be very interested. This has been his dream for a long time, to play football at the highest level. He grew up a Miami Hurricanes fan and he still is. If he could go anywhere, it would be UM without a doubt!

  9. I have one to add to the list guys. Here is the junior highlight film of Kortland Webb from Ladue High School in Saint Louis, Mo. He will be a senior in the fall and he has received a lot of letters in the mail from Nebraska. Rivals.com lists him as an ATH. He is 5'11 and he weighs about 160. BTW, he is my baby brother and I coach him. Let me know what you all think. Thanks!
