  1. I don't believe Bo should be canned at this juncture. If he is .500 or less in the next two years, then a change is needed. However he's 36-15 in four years. Yes, he lost to Northwestern at home, although NW has a history of upsetting teams they are not supposed to defeat. If Bo is smart, he and the players will learn from this. Bo definitely has room for improvement. There is an old saying that you are never as good as you look (MSU last week) or are you as bad as you look (NW yesterday), it's always somewhere in the middle. As for the criticism that Bo is a bad recruiter, I remember a Sports Illustrated article from 1991 about TO that said, in essence, that his recruiting class that year was nothing special. Of course, we all know that more than a few of those players helped to form the core of the title teams that went 60-3. I'm not saying we are on the brink of another run like that again, but I'm happy with winning 9-10 games a year, while being in the NC hunt every couple of years.
  2. this... is an interesting post. for bad reasons. Which part was bad? Kiffin or TO? It is a fact that Kiffin wanted to come back as HC after Solich and Callahan.
  3. This fails worse than Spiderman on Broadway. Ohh, come on! Never said Bo should go. Someone asked a question and I just gave a scenario out of left field.
  4. And how many recruits have committed and ultimately signed with NU who later went on to cause problems for our opponents? People can debate/argue/discuss, etc all they want about this or that recruit who we should have pressed harder for a committment. It's not going to change anything. We could recruit an entire class of 4 and 5 stars and someone will still ultimately complain about us not recruiting some other 4 or 5 star recruit. Frazier killed Colorado, who tried to recruit him as a DB.
  5. It was asked who would come here if Bo was fired after this year. I know Monte Kiffin would come back in a heartbeat. Kiffin publicly begged to be interviewed after Solich and Callahan were fired. He wouldn't be the right choice due to his age and his two year tenure at NC State in the early 80's. Not to mention Kiffin and TO are not the best of buds dating back to 1973 when TO was chosen over Kiffin to replace Devaney. How about this scenario: TO comes back to the sideline and grooms Scott Frost as his eventual replacement. I'm sure TO still has the competitive juices to coach again.
  6. Here's an interesting article from 2007 that may help you. http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/MYSA081405_3N_SWCbaylor_tech_1ca3e1c_html8528.html
