Being a horse s#!t program can turn even the most positive people cynical. Thats where I am…sorry. If they win anything again I will be the first one cheering them on.

Georgia fans are going off on his announcement video on Instagram...cruel comments. That should tell him he made the right choice.

Nebraska isn't in the B1G West anymore. They won't have under luxury of playing talentless teams each week.

They have so many issues they need to fix. They can't even field punts.

I think that instead of dreaming about the playoff, Nebraska just needs to focus on bowl games.

You love a little whine with your cheese huh?

There wasn’t a game we weren’t in sans Mich. Please tell me how another season of proper coaching, an adequate qb and healthy offensive weapons won’t change our ability to win games?

No one is expecting a title next year but to say that we can’t be significantly better is just pessimistic BS.

We have the pedigree to our own fan base and college football fans older than 25-30 years old. Yes, we have the facilities, investment, and the history to match up with almost anyone in the country. However, we haven't been to a bowl game since the current recruits were entering middle school and haven't been a true Top 10-20 program since they were in first or second grade at best.

Therefore, @Huskerfollower4life makes a valid point that in the eyes of recruits, our program's current standing is no better than the likes of Iowa State, Arkansas, etc. Only when you factor in the off-the-field stuff (facilities, NIL, etc.) do we have more appeal than those programs.

Thank you for reiterating, I guess. Point being, you can’t say we’re in the same class as BYU/TCU/Iowa st because of our recent record. There’s a lot more to the college football machine than just your record.

Yes I did we aren't better than Iowa State rn bc of the losing.

K buddy. You’re proving my point with the “rn.” You’re only focusing on a piece of the picture. I also acknowledged that we need to start winning, obviously. Still, Iowa state can’t be Nebraska because they don’t have nor can offer everything that Nebraska has.  If the stature of a program was solely based on current record the college football landscape would look drastically different. Legacy, facilities, resources, support…MATTER.

When you mentioned years your meaning a couple we have had 7 years of losing that's half in a generation.  Yes blue bloods have had off years but they tend to get back on track.  We haven't yet.

I acknowledged the drought. You’re not saying anything that effectively discounts what I’m iterating.

As a overall program yes we have had more success but in this generation we aren't a better program then Iowa State.  That's the problem Nebraska has to win to get the respectablility back.  In this generation most of the kids never got to see Nebraska win so by what they go off of is are we a winning program rn? No we are not but we can when we eventually start winning but you can't hold yourself to say we belong to be mentioned with the Michigan's and Ohio State and lose to the Northwestern's of the world.

Every blue blood has down years. Granted Nebraska’s has felt like forever. We still have the pedigree. The same can’t be said about the aforementioned.

I think having a freshman QB as a starter means another year of no bowling. We need a fast start with how bad the final 5 weeks of the schedule are.  Hopefully, Raiola doesn't transfer after a year or two and another team gets the most benefit.

I think you’re wrong. With even mediocre QB play this year and most of our offensive weapons not going down we would be bowling. One would think that the #1 QB recruit could at least be mediocre.. even as a freshman. As well as our oline, wrs etc continuing to make strides.

Not right now were not.  We are right at the level of BYU and TCU.  Iowa State is better then us which pains me to say bc yes weaker conference but they did beat number Oklahoma State this year at number 22.  I can't remember when was the last time we beat a ranked team.

lol. Wrong. Record wise, I see what you’re saying. However, saying that we’re at the level of TCU or BYU is laughable. Legacy, brand recognition, titles, heisman winners, resources etc matters. BYU/TCU couldn’t just have a few winning seasons and have what we already have in place.. it would take decades to be in the same class. While Nebraska just needs to start winning again.

Been down for awhile, I get it. But sooner or later the tide will turn…and I think that it is. We’re still Nebraska. Don’t cower at that so easily.

There was a lot more buzz when Frost was hired imo.

There will be a bit of a spike if Raiola commits, but nothing compared to Frost.

Already hearing McCord is out, assuming that means Fleming is out too?

There's an old saying about counting your chickens or some such.

For sure... hiring of frost definitely takes the cake. It feels (felt TBD) a bit different though in the caliber of players we are (were) getting attention from.

WTactualF.. this is the most stunned I’ve been hopping onto huskerboard since we hired MR. This, for a much better reason. Damn.. there would be no better way to win the offseason than to make this flip.

Mike Riley that is.. lol. Rhule I was fiddy fiddy on (that’s changed dramatically).. but with Riley I knew we were f**ked.

I am guarded. lol.  After 10+ years of heartbreak, I can't handle another this caliber.

What will happen is the McCord will back off, taking Flemming out of picture..... DK (who actually comm. to Mizzou bc of DR, will decommit and move on.... at the last minute, GA comes through with NIL bonus for DR and he stick with Georgia, leaving us holding the bag.  Worse, is if Purdy enters portal and is pissed we are looking to replace him forever with McCord and DR..... THIS WOULD BE PART OF THE CURSE ! lol
