  1. I believe once Saturday ends, his mind will change...
  2. Mark it down! Daniel Davie will be a stud! with excellent speed and weight training you will see how good of a player he is. Also dont forget, he's not a Nebraska boy, He's originally from Michigan. either way, its obvious he's a great athlete. You don't let great athlete's get away. his versatility is a huge plus. if he struggles to catch, put him at safety.
  3. SO FAR, would you say that Nebraska has gotten over that "recruiting hump" where we can compete and snag top notch recruits every year? In my opinion, yes but its not at full force. But we are definitely on the minds of everyone again which is a huge plus.
  4. Well, why is it the offense that always folds under pressure vs a decent defense? I don't see the defense getting blown out since 2008 no matter who they play. 2010 - Texas - zero TDs 2009 - Texas - zero TDs 2009 - Oklahoma - one TD (we get the ball on their one yd line due to pick) 2009 - Virginia Tech - zero TDs Heck, even vs "very" marginal defenses our offense can fold like a tent. 2010 - SDSU - 2 Tds 2009 - Texas Tech - one TD (at garbage time) 2009 - Iowa State - one TD For whatever reason, it looks to me that the pressure only gets to us on one side of the ball. I can see our OFFENSE being scared, but do you think it was possible that they started feeling this way after they got down? idk, either way, watching Iowa st giving it to them right now, obviously proves it wasnt a talent issue
  5. you know what cracks me up, because we lost, everyone all of the sudden feels like we got outclassed talent wise but im willing to say that i would have more people agreeing with me if those balls were caught and we win the game. our oline got outclassed because we continued to run the ball when the box was stacked. quite frankly most husker fans before the lost wouldve said no way to trading martinez for gilbert, wr's for theirs. and rbs for theirs and definitely the oline because of texas lack of running game. You know how i know nebraska is more talented? we played absolutely awful and put ourselves in the worst position and got screwed by the refs, and still only lost by 7.
  6. I really hope he decides to play football
  7. yeah cody still has time, i wouldnt be shocked if he comes back strong next year
  8. Then it would be just as easy to say that Gilbert's throwing ability and accuracy make him more talented than Taylor. Sorry bro but NU's Oline =<(and probably just <)Texas' Oline. I think Saturday kind of proved that and remember Texas has played teams with a LOT better defenses than NU has. And as much as I love the way he plays and the effort he gives, I would take Blake Gideon over Gomes. Gideon wasa all over the place Saturday disrupting plays and making play. He has done that ever since he was starting as a true freshman. Hard to argue the QB talk I for some reason cant sit here and say that their oline is better, im sorry, they loaded the box and we kept running, what did you expect Gideon over Gomes? sorry cant do. Ask texas fans, they've had their fair share of frustration with him. Gomes all day
  9. well maybe so, but its not like gilbert was doing anything special out there either. it doesnt take away from the fact that we were the better team and that was obvious
  10. i agree, his moves are average, but then again, why have moves when nobody can catch you in the open field
  11. Oh and im gonna throw this out there. Texas secondary isnt as good as ours. if you think they are on par with ours, you're crazy, considering we had the opportunity to put huge numbers on the board
  12. well im speaking on talent. taylor's issue isnt ability, its mechanics.. Taylor's running ability makes him a more talented player than gilbert. If rivals and scout could go back and re evaluate taylor, id say mid to high 4
  13. Whoa Whoa? talent wise texas is way better? hmmm, id love to argue that, and this is about the starters. and im speaking about overall talent Taylor Martinez>Gilbert Our RBs>their rbs Our top 3 wr's (minus the drops)> their wr's Our O-Line>their Oline Our Dline= or < their Dline Lavonte>> over anyone they have Prince> Aaron Dennard>Brown Gomes> Gideon Hagg>over anyone else.. Trust me, Nebraska had more pro potential on both sides of the ball then texas did..as far as depth, maybe texas but id say after next years recruiting class, that shi& changes dramatically
  14. there was just too many points and yardage left on that field, even the pass play with Q Enunwa. he was open too, but the pass was too late
  15. To be honest, i think our staff respected Texas's defense waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. If you watch that game again(not an easy task), you'll see that we had plenty of more opportunities to throw the ball, Wr's were open. Their DB's weren't good enough to cover our WR's every down
  16. well thats a part of the issue, not paying attention to detail, sloppiness. ala SDST
  17. My father was speaking to his co worker who went to Dorsey Highschool which is in South LA. He was a track star and also football recruit for USC but decided to take the track schollie. One of his cousins went to nebraska, and he's knows alot about football and knows plenty of former great athletes all over california. he's met J. "the jet" rodgers before as well. He knows my father and I are huge nebraska fans and he watches every game he can. With his experience in playing football for a legitimate program, knowing athletes, speaking to them about their experiences and everything. He flat out told my dad that the reason Nebraska lost was that they went in thinking all they had to do was show up and they would win. He said, don't buy anything Bo or players say, they watch college football live all the time, they read all the message boards and beat writing sites. they hear it all. He said Nebraska knew they were the better team and that was the problem, and said, thats the coaches fault.
  18. yeah i agree, its the most beautiful stadium in college football, my sisters couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I just hate when we play there. Our players cant handle the pressure.
  19. I'm gonna start off by saying this is a joke Memorial Stadium, You are gorgeous. You are the definition and meaning of college football but oh do i hate watching Nebraska playing in you. We should play every game on the road. we play better anyways and we bring the whole state in anyways, its always kind of a home game. again, this is a joke...kinda..well yeah
  20. My thing is this. These are the reasons we have a hard time getting over the hump. these games affect recruiting. perception(very important btw), You know I understand what Watson and Gilmore are doing, I don't agree with it but its gotten to a point where if you cannot beat the big boys, then you have to go. The D played well and got some bad calls but that D line is not THAT good. Thenarse showed me today why he is a special teams player. Helu is intimidated by Texas. Niles and BK showed me they are all talk, disgusting considering how obvious their talent level is. Our Oline, To me did a good job pass blocking but run blocking was average to poor. REX absolutely choked. I'm not even gonna mention Niles again. I love you HAGG. Lavonte showed the mental lapses. You know people might say, I'm too critical but when you're the obvious better team and continue and continue to shoot yourselves in the foot, it gets hard to not be like this. We just set ourselves back. How funny is that the only bright spot on O is Zac mother effing LEE. Oh and another thing, GILMORE, he's been on my last nerve. Stop worrying about all the effing blocking and teach your Wr's how to catch. Quit over stressing blocking! another reason he pisses me off. Cant recruit at all. Also is the reason my friend (curtis carter) didnt come to nebraska But we will not expand on that
  21. Simply put. We cannot handle pressure. I'm so disappointed. I don't care if we win on out. You don't lose to Texas. This is huge for recruiting, Niles And BK need to shut their mouths. Our D-Line is overated. This is disgusting.
  22. I agree 100% If he comes, what a huge upgrade from Admire. I'm really excited about this visit, I get the feeling that he's really basing this visit on his future. gotta love that. Its gonna be hard for Aaron to pass up this offensive line class
  23. It gets to a point where you say cmon Braylon. get your shi% together and pass this. This is not only for football but for the future way beyond it. I'm sure he is a great kid and you only hope the best for him. I'm wondering on how he was able to play football in highschool if he's struggling this bad with his academics
