  1. I'm friends with Dennard on Facebook. Doesn't mean I'm committing to Nebraska. Yeah but do you hold a scholarship from them? Are you asking if they've offered me a schollie? If so, the answer is no. But that's only because they're complete fools. I can punt like nobody's business. Coach woulda put me in in the fourth quarter, we'd of made State. No doubt in my mind. I heard you could throw the ball over them mountains
  2. Well done Mr. Turner. 'I'm just giddy about this guy coming here. Can't have enough great athletes on the field at once. You get him on the field with Taylor 'Swift' and Rex and you have three tremendous athletes, that all have the ability to break a huge play, or throw the ball. I don't wanna get too Boise State here, but if we're able to keep Wats, I like this future.
  3. He and Santos are coming to the Mizzou game. I'm glad Santos will be with him. I little extra jaw-jackin to and from Lincoln can't hurt
  4. and with the number of DEs we got last year (5) and the number visiting this weekend (4), he may not have time to make it a drawn-out battle in recruiting. Here's to hoping we get him ... and soon, since he already visited Oregon.
  5. Not quite sure how I feel about that. I mean his parents know Nebraska well with Aaron and Andrew's recruitment. Maybe this will allow Aaron to really bond with the other studs who will be there for their visit. You would like to think that this will give Aaron more time to bond with current Nebraska players, and the visitors here with him. Especially with Tyler Moore, Ryan Klachko, Ryne Reeves, Zach Sterup, and hopefully Cyrus Hobbi, Jeremy Cash and Charles Jackson. Fixed it for you I see that Reeves and Klachko are visiting for the Mizzou game (on Scout) and that Sterup hasn't set an official. Are all of those guys coming as unofficial visitors? That'd be great. Sterup and Reeves will be here for unofficials, I remember some time ago all the commits were going to try and be at this game. I seem to remember Jamal Turner saying that. He's not listed either. I'm curious if he's going to make it up on another unofficial. The kid pretty much lives in Lincoln ... which is friggin great!

  7. I'm lost. Did Aaron text this to you? Totally lost here
  8. u aint making any since buddy if your a senior or a junior that has nfl skills and your not getting the ball you wont be upset it doesnt have nothing to do with recruiting What he's saying is that we need to recruit guys who put the team first, ahead of their draft stock. Obviously everyone wants to make it to the league, but the team should come first. That's my interpretation of what he's saying. As far as your bro, everyone on the board here is rooting for good things for him ... and all the WRs, but most importantly that the team keeps winning. We have huge expectations as Nebraska fans. a 10-win season may be great here in Iowa where I live, but not in the motherland. Go Big Red
  9. 2:30 kickoff. Regionally on ABC, otherwise on ESPN. This isn't great news, but I do think it's good news. I would imagine most h.s. kids will be able to make the 2:30 kick. First things first, let's beat K-State!
  10. leaves an open spot for somebody else to visit on 10/16. We already have Jackson visiting that day and Jeremy Cash (S) too
  11. Jake Locker is doing it right now. Still rated in Kiper's top 5. I'm guessing that is what Jeff Samardjzia (sp?) did while at Notre Dame. Drew Henson too?
  12. Says the man with the picture that looks like a kid taking it to a blow up doll. bazinga!
  13. we're not going back to this weird crap again are we?
  14. Rivals says he'll be here on 10/16. Imagine that...
  15. sure glad to have him in this weekend. If the staff wants him and he wants us, great. We haven't really been in on a lot of tight ends this year it doesn't seem like.

  17. That is unfortunate and rather selfish to be honest. one could just as easily call the player selfish for taking a visit during the season. (if it interferes with games or practices) But high school is high school. It's a stepping stone for your future - for all students. It's not a job and it's not permanent. Kids should be taking these opportunities to visit and I agree with EZ completely here. It is no different than any non-scholarship athlete that takes some time off of high school to visit colleges, or misses multiple days of college to visit graduate schools. The coach IMO should be giving his kids as many opportunities as possible, not restricting them in any way. But of course, I don't know the precise circumstances. He may have his reasons. yet , the only person with an actual job here is the coach himself. i agree completely that it is a coaches job to promote your kids as much as possible for future possibilities, but he's the only person who can get fired here. I'm willing to bet that 99% of high school coaches frown upon their student athletes missing school and practice for personal school visits that could be made when school is not in session. A suspension (one game or one half) in the kids next game would be completely justified in my opinion, if the kid misses enough time. It should all be the coaches personal choice depending on the circumstances. ...so, if I understand you correctly - you agree that it is the coach being selfish, because he's the one with his job on the line worrying about #1. When you look at how a lot of official visits are structured, the kids don't miss any games or practices. They either catch a red eye late that Friday night, or they catch an early morning flight. They then fly home that Sunday afternoon. So they miss no games or even practices. Unless of course they visit Michigan. RichRod makes them stay and practice until Tuesday.
  18. Funny that while you've been out NOTHING has happened, while the rest of us have been Should see a commit by tomorrow!
