Nope the opening game of the year. Like USC and VT last year...i emailed these idots months ago and no response. Their site sucks and worst of all they dont ever update it. I hope they lose their bid to host the opening "pigskin classic"

Does anyone know what the "first" game of this season will be formerly known as the pigskin classic...? I went to BCASports.org and couldnt fins anything recent. Did it go to another bidder or what?

Yes they were but you cannot deny it is an awesome experience for these guys. Miss St in no way will compare to NU but heck it will be a HUGE game for the Bears and a chance for Nebraska to get comfortable with Taylor and allow all the strings to warm up. I only look forward to the Maine game to see the Huskers again. Us dominating a DII school is not too impressive. I hope we change this in the future. There are plenty of DI schools we could warm up on. DII scheduling is a bad habit from the Big 8 days that I hope we change soon.

well sker fan...my previous reply may not be worthy of a response but lets take a look at last years stats since that is all we have to go off. Palko threw more pics than Dailey at 3 vs. 1 Also you are right about the muddy field, causing Cory Ross and commitee to only run for a combined 123 yards rushing, two tone field turf should remedy that! I do not advocate dismissing Pitt entirely as they will be our best non-conf game this year but I just dont think cause they had a BCS bowl due to their "weak" conf makes them a program. Yes, Pitt is improving each year but they have big question marks too. New coach favors running before passing and if he forces that on them like Cally did Corn Coast than Pitt will be in a pickle. what is that crap? we didnt water down their field the night before. i understand we should respect them to a certain degree but still please do not forget they are Pitt. They won a crappy conference and if you dont think that the Big East is about as scary as the Sun Belt then I feel for ya man. I mean they added UCONN, run I am freakin' scared. I realize also we are not the dominate powerhouse but we beat them with Dailey and our sputtering offense. Have you taken a look at our depth chart on offense alone? I mean we have a core of 3 excellent running backs who alone could fly all over the field against a crappy D at Pitt. I wont mention the WRs and QBs cause I think that might blow your simple mind

this is a "nice" article but the only way Cally gets fired this year is if our record is 3-8 or something. Which to be honest I dont forsee happening but if it did, so long Cally!

yeah keep that in mind we beat them with the "worst team" in the last 30yrs and now we bring them to lincoln with a top 5 recruiting class and no dailey...also a defensive line that has more depth than the gulf of mexico...their Qb will be spending alot of time on the two-tone turf our non-conf schedule is a cake walk.... worry about the conf games please

well i live down in colorado springs so it isn't too bad cause CU fans aren't much competition. When I lived in Austin that was more of a battle but we still took a bar from the UT fans. lol. also, i almost killed a mizzou band member last season. i was driving home from the southern miss loss through mizzou and saw a "mizzou" band sticker on the back of this guys miata...so i thought it would be a great idea to stick my hat out the window and throw up the #1 finger this guy got so pissed he sped his little jap car up and came within 10 feet of a semi until he slammed on his breaks...imagine that to this day mizzou fans are so sensitive
