We are stuck in the mud and going no where. We show improvememt in one area in a season, and then take steps backwards the next. I don't see us as a NC contender anytime soon.

Hire a head coach who teaches discipline.

There's no excuse for driving after drinking, regardless of whether the police have to "meet their quota".

Stoops obviously knows his stuff, but he won't be a DC for long. He'll get another HC job and then leave. Do we really want to bring him in for what could be just a year or maybe two?

I really hope Scott Frost is on our staff one day. We need people (no, I'm not calling for the heads of any of the current staff), but we need people who bleed Husker red.

Whether Bo did or did not interview with OSU, I don't think he's happy at NU and I don't think he'll be here for more than maybe one more season. I have no knowledge, have no sources, this is just my feeling. But when he does leave, and he will leave, I hope it's done in a timely manner and leaves us with a chance to find someone good.

I agree with everything you said and up until recently I agreed with what you say in #10. But at this point I can't see a big time program coming after Bo. If it were to happen I think Bo would be gone in a heart beat.

I do believe that it was meant to be that it was Nebraska who played at Penn State this week. This was supposed to be Ron Brown's moment and he handled it with class and grace. Bo also handled everything with glass and grace. Amazing that something so ugly brought out the good in so many people.

The helmet should never change, but small changes to the jersey and/or pants is fine. I loved the red socks of the Crouch era. Seems everyone is in black socks & black shoes these days.

Just announced on 1620 that Jared Crick is out for season with torn pec muscle.

I'm hoping for a night game. This will be a big game and I think the energy in the stadium is better at night. Plus, it allows people who work during the day a chance to see the game.

Anyone know when we should expect an announcement on the start time for the Michigan State game?

I like Dirk's writing. I love Husker football, but I don't want sunshine pumped up my a$$ about the Huskers. I want some reality and I think he provides that. I'm sure in his day T.O. had some unflattering columns / articles written about him, but T.O. has one thing Bo does not have and that's class.

I can't speak to the stuff that happened at the airport, but I agree with everything else you wrote. Bo is a head coach at a major college. He gets paid a lot of money and one of his duties as head coach is to address the media and there is no reason he can't do it with class, regardless of the outcome fo the game. The main streem media isn't Facebook, Twitter, etc. Reporters from the World-Herald, Journal-Star, other Neb papers and national media deserve respect. They're doing an important job. Also, Bo needs to remember that in a state with just 1.7 million people, the program does not succeed without the fans.

Dealing with the media is part of the job when you are a highly paid head coach at a major program like NU. This isn't his first year, and he knows the drill. He may get tired of the questions, but it's part of his job and I don't know why he has to act like such an a$$ about it. The "legit" media members are simply doing their jobs and they deserve to be treated with respect. Without the media and the fans NU would not have the program that it has. Bo may be a defensive genius, but he has no class. I'm not calling for his job, though I will be shocked if he's a here a year from now. I'm just surprised that Husker fans aren't more bothered by his antics.

Scott Frost. Yeah, he left Nebraska, but he came back and put up with the $!@# from the fans and I think his speech convinced voters to vote for us that season. I do wish he was on the coaching staff.

Don't blame this game on Martinez, it's all on Bo. He is not head coach material. Bad coordinators, bad game plan.
