I have bad feelings about the Iowa State game and the Texas Tech game after that. Thankfully Baylor isn't too far down the road.

Let me start by saying that I love the Huskers. Always have, always will. Although I didn't like the way it was handled, I was glad to see Solich replaced as I do believe the program was headed in the wrong direction. However, I am starting to believe that Bill Callahan was the wrong choice. I can't understand why we aren't playing the highly touted new recruits of the last year. I would rather lose by giving Beck, Lucky, etc., the experience than win the way we won today. I fear we are about to start a nasty downward slide this season. Why not give someone else a shot? Maybe Beck or even Ganz would give a little spark to the offense, if not the whole team. Also, the only real streak we have left is the sell-out streak and I'm afraid with the way things are going the new seats won't sell out every game. I think Steve Pederson bit off more than he can chew. He let his ego get in the way. Remember, I do love the Huskers and don't want to see our program become just any other program, so please don't throw stones. I'm just speaking my honest opinion.

Anyone else hear that Kent Pavelka will be joining "Big Sports 590" in Omaha. I was hoping/wishing he would replace Jim Rose. Alas, it is not to be.

How soon before the ISU game will we know if it's going to be televised?

The NU-Maine game on PPV is being offered for one reason only - MONEY! The game will turn out to be a big zero and we all know that. Yes, it will be fun seeing the new players and it will get everyone excited about the season, but the fact is, it's a money game. I would love to see NU donate every cent generated from PPV to disaster relief in Louisiana and Mississippi. I think we should all email Steve Pederson and tell him we would like to see this done. I listen to ESPN Radio in Omaha (1620 am), almost every afternoon. Tom Shatel from the World-Herald was on the show each Tuesday afternoon for about 20 minutes and I really enjoyed listening to him. However, he hasn't been on the show in many weeks. I called the station the other day to find out if he's going to be on anymore and they passed me over to one of the producers and he had no clue. Do any of you in the Omaha area know what happened with Shatel being on "Unsportsman Like Conduct" on Tues afternoons? Thanks

I love the current Husker uniform and hope we never go back to the wide stripe down the pants of a couple years ago. However, I think it would be very cool to go back to the varsity stripes on the shoulders and the gray face mask on the helmets. It would be a cool way to sort get back to the hard grinding play of years ago and to honor Husker history.

Yes, I'm talking about the posters that the athletic dept sells each year. I always buy one for my office and I'm excited to see who they put on the poster this year.

This is my first post to this board, but I've been reading it for quite some time. Everyone has great insite into Husker football and I can't wait for the season to start! Having said that, does anyone have an idea when the schedule poster will be released? I can't wait to order it. Thanks
