Cant say I really care about that. I mean, hey, we already have Iowa in here. Their fans definitely seem interested in jumping ship to the Big 10 as well. http://www.insidemdsports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34195&page=34 Getting Maryland would be a huge deal since the big 10 network could boost its subscription fees in the Balt/DC area.

I think Maryland would be a great option. They have excellent academics, are a research oriented institution, and are located in the Balt/DC media market. Another bonus is that they are gaining population, unlike Mich, OHio, and Penn that are hemorrhaging population

I hope they go with the 4 pods idea, especially if the big 10 goes up to 16 teams. I dont want to play the other division teams once every 7 or so years. It just wouldnt feel like a conference then. Obviously the pod idea doesnt work if the big 10 goes to 14 teams
