  1. Answer me this Keller won the Oregon camp MVP, but he didn't earn a scholarship from THEM. Maybe they saw the same thing Callahan and crew did.
  2. From what the services are chatting about. One of their lead guys is quite high on him. Everything I read is quite positive on NU. Best answer I can give. Yeah I would venture to guess that 35 percent is a little low eric.
  3. If the kids are not the best at there position don't offer. It doesn't matter where they come from.
  4. He is not even the best lineman in the state Dooley is.
  5. people need to chill Coach Callahan now what he is doing. At this time last year we had 2 recruits both instate guys, and the year before we had zero. So things are on the right track, have a little faith. Anyone look at what K-state is getting commits from only 2 guys have more than k-states offer. GBR
  6. Looks like the journalstar is reporting he signed with Baltimore http://www.journalstar.com/articles/2006/0...4d177526114.txt
  7. I say good luck to Leon if he wants to play running back. According to the coaches evaluations, he wasn't as far along as Cody Glenn and Marlon Lucky. He volunteered to move to safety because he thought it was his best chance to get on the field and he had problems getting the hang of the gameplan from week to week. He also tried WR, and he didn't stick there either. Where do you put a kid that is behind 2 guys at RB, can't learn the safety position, and didn't stick at WR? I sure hope he can find his way somewhere else. I think he probably would have been able to give more competition for the rb job if he had never VOLUNTARILY moved to the safety position in hopes of more playing time. It seems like Leon wasn't patient enough. He tried safety and that didn't work out, he was buried behind talent at rb, and also tried WR. He is only a Fr. If he would have stuck to the safety position I think he would have been able to contribute after a year of experience. It seems like a lot of the fr. came in expecting to start and that was not the case. I wish he would have just stuck to safety gone through the learning curve and developed into a starter by year 2 or 3. The kid is an athlete and has talent. Best of luck. What sucks for him is that he blew his RS last season doing almost nothing but being on kickoff coverage... actually running with the kickoff team is good, it helps you with the speed of the game.
  8. How am I doing so far? What exactly did you predict? You never predicted Jackson leaving, you predicted he wouldn't get much pt. If you predicted anyone to leave, it was Lucky. Scroll up 4 inches and stop patting yourself on the back. link Maybe you want to check this link out. I've said he is going to be gone several times. Dude, I think you have predicted just about everyone is going to transfer at some point. I think your track record speaks that this is a fluke that you are right about something. See above if you need further proof. not to hard of predicition if you ask me. We all knew someone at the RB position would prob. transfer hell I thought it was going to be Bjax cause he would be the 4 th string with his injury.
  9. Outside of safety, what positions do you think he could have made an immediate impact? I guess I fail to see how this is the coaches fault when they gave him shots at RB twice and twice he's failed. He moved back to that spot off of defense because he wanted to. Coaches didn't make him do it. Even the WR's are deep with talent with more coming. Safety was his best chance and he decided against it. Also none of us really know how well he was even practicing there although it did sound like he was struggling. Jackson leaving is a sign of the talent that we have on this team. It has to be considered a good thing if we can't find a position for a top50 player to make it in the 2 deep in his second year. Right on never, I knew someone would blame the staff. Leon was moved to safety couldn't learn the position wanted to be moved back to RB where his heart lies. Callahan let him try it at rb and he couldn't beat out glenn or lucky. Must be the coaches fault
  10. Man I was told the same about Rulon Davis . We see how that worked out. Not signing day yet anything can happen.
  11. That 2 year rule is a urban myth from what I have been told, and if Henry doesn't qualify then it would be nice to have another center recruit.
  12. He's hurt all the time. I seem to remb. that carriker was hurt alot at the being of his carrier. He must be a bust to
  13. I'm guessing ksu is going to be really good in a couple years in both football and basketball. Yeah cause princess has proven how great of a coach he is
  14. I don't think he said sun-shine pumpers did he? There is difference of opinion on the board he is talking about, but you don't see crap like Billy slash should have wore a nebraska shirt. That is a little Extreme wouldn't you say.
  15. I forgot man he hasn't posted here in awhile I Forgot to get my FF bs filter back up and running.
  16. Hilarious. I do no more than agree with a couple of other posters, and look what I get. Question: do you support everything President Bush does, or are you not an American?? hmm yes he is our president so for the best interest of the united states I am behind him. Do I agree with everything he does no, you see I just don't go to a online board nit picking everything he does. Also I learned a lesson a long time ago you will be alot happier in life if you don't worry about something you can't control.
  17. I couldnt resist. If billy slash is so devoted to the team, maybe he should have wore an NU shirt during his spring practice press conference. Couldnt agree with you more. As for the rest of it, I agree with Eric and Redman. Did billy slash make some funny comments, sure. Should he have made them publicly, hell no. Many of you are so sensitive to having fans be critical of the program, how it affects the players, recruits, etc (what do recruits think when they read this stuff on the I-net). What does it tell recruits when you decide NOT to go to NU (God forbid, and go to K St), its okay for the head coach who is supposed to be a role model for 17-22 yr old young men to publicly chastise you for your decision. billy slash needs to start keeping his rude and demeaning comments to himself. Thats not the way I want the U of N portrayed. lol coming from you Former why don't you support your team by posting on the Ohio bobcat web site. Or get behind the nebraska head coach Bill Callahan, you see former he is running the team not you or any of us that visit these forums.
  18. I just don't understand my parents both lived in nebraksa, but after grad from NU we left for iowa then to texas I would have given both of my arms to have had the chance to play for the big red machine.l
  19. I would imagine since a sky box for a year is something like a mil
  20. I was told, when spain didn't qualify we gave his scholarship to slauson. Not sure if it happened. Also add in the either victory or ben martin are canidates for academic scholarships or maybe greyshirts. GBR
  21. From what I have gathered it was a joke by Roz to mess with trollers.
  22. Every game is worth watching IMO. When nebraska opened with maine last year I paid the 30 dollars to watch it on tv. The best 30 dollars I have spent, I just don't really care if they are playing a 3 a team or a highschool team I love to watch the big red machine.
  23. we will find out tomorrow. CU told him exactly what he wanted to hear, playing WR. yeah but ricky said he thinks he has a better shot to make the NFL on the def. side of the ball.
  24. I still see DT as a need spot call me crazy, but we lose Ola and Cryer next year we will have back suh johnson and possible Seth Jensen if that is the position that he will play. I just see that as a spot where we need another HS kid to come in at.
  25. I will keep that in mind next time several people jump on my case when someone ends up going someplace else. People can't give credit where it's due, but are willing to be the first people in line with the pitch forks. A case so often in particular with your DJR. Keep batting, i am sure you will hit a home run someday like the rest of posters who think it is their god given right to know what you know. It's become a provide a source or shut up mentality around here and i decided a couple of months ago to keep the recruiting information to myself and just shut up about it instead of having people jump on my case. I wonder how many people email the Omaha World Herald, Lincoln Journal star..etc asking them to provide who their anonymous source are or shut up about it and not print it nameless I like your tidbits of info. I know a recruit can change his mind in the game at anytime. Keep on with the info.
