Former I would think even you would be able to get the concept! The Option is a run based off. the players recruited for The option, are diff. then they players needed to run the wco. Like for instance wide recievers that catch the ball instead of just block. Or a passing quaterback not a running back that sometimes throwss, hell even a line that is now asked to pass block instead of run block. It is not only solich's recruits it is the lack there off. Can't you agree that watching texas or usc or any of the big teams they have a lot of ath. on the field. Depth wise in alot of position we are lacking losing bradly and octavion hurt, we lost alot of speed in the lb core. Also remb. callahan has had only 1 recruiting season so it may take a couple of years to get the depth we need with exp. Also to the person said the lucky had a bunch of carries he had 4 touches not to many to get in the grove. Freshman are so glad to get the ball they get excited and try to do to much. We just need to ease up and let them gell with the system. It will take more than one season to get the program to top 10 tier team.Keep the Faith GBR!

No, that's not true. There are a few names i can think of off the top of my head that only went JUCO for 1 year and then went back to DIV-A the following year. It's kinda like the same thing as a prep school in a way. cool man thanks for clearing that up!

You make a great point, but there aren't that many Brad Smith's out there. There may not be many Brad Smith's out there, but there are not very many Matt Leinart's out there either. Pick your poison trying to find an awesome running QB or an awesome throwing QB. All I know is that when NU has had great success, we didn't seem to have a problem getting a player like BS into a red and white uniform (TF, Berringer, Crouch, Newcombe, Frost). Now, it seems we can't get anything other than a Wake Forest reject into one. It's amazing how things change. 10 years ago, everyone wanted a QB like Marino in the Pro's. Now, everyone wants a Vick or McNabb type QB. One that not only can pass, but can and will beat you with his legs. Seems like we're beginning to see more and more of that in college as well. Look at the top 3 teams in the country. Texas and VT both possess QB's that can and will punish you with those legs just as often if not more than with their arm. Florida State has a freshman QB that is good and fast enough to play receiver as well. This seems to be the direction rather than having a tree stump back there. I Have seen on the okie board they wish they would have gottenb that wake forest reject, so they could have broken in bomar! But to each his own!

Hardy is supposed to be a burner. Brooks is supposed to be the prototypical receiver we need. Bowman is our next lockdown corner. At least these were the recruiting reports. We had the #3 recruiting class so you can't say we don't have athletes. Hell at least give it a shot. Maybe we can catch a few interference calls. It takes time look at texas they had a top 10 recruiting class 5 years in a row most years number 1, just getting one class doesn't turn the program around it will take a couple of years.

Man I didn't know ISU almost got 350 yards in after halftime, man the d really held them in the 1st half since isu only got 374 yards of total offense for the game! It was really closer to 200 yards of offense after halftime so the adjusments wasn't that great

Everyone is talking about nd but the prior coach ran the WCO had 3 years of recruiting not to big of switch to the spread. Unlike going from a quaterback up the gut team to the WCO. My Prediction is like 8 wins 3 loses another stellar recruiting class, give talyor a year in the off. hopefully we have a fun ride back to the top!
