  1. why? Because Cal is a great school with an awesome campus and it has produced some NFL rb's recently. To think Aaron Green can't go anywhere besides Nebraska is absurd. I think people are putting way too much into getting Green.
  2. Nothing worth noting in the article, same old, same old. I'm sorry but thats just ridiculous.
  3. chase rome, jay guy and kevin williams beg to differ. I forgot about Williams. Rome & Guy were last years class, i'm talking about this year.
  4. Whats up with the so called " Suh effect"? We haven't got one great D-line prospect yet.
  5. Competition is always good. I didn 't get to watch the spring game just listened to it on radio it was pretty obvious Martinez is a better QB than Green, and if Lee isn't 100% Martinez should be the starter. The good thing is Nebraska plays an easy non-confrence schedule we don't really need to know who the QB is until confrence play.
  6. " Cody Green will never start" Cody Green has aslready started 2 games as a true freshmen.
  7. Texas A&M isn't going to be 11-1. Texas won't lose 4 games, Baylor won't win 8 games, KU won't go 0-8 in confrence, Iowa State will win more than 3 games, and Kansas State won't win 10 games.
  8. How far is Taylor Martinez from being ready to be a starter in college football?
  9. I made a comment on a Facebook group and next thing I know he friend requested me. We never once spoke about him playing at Nebraska or recruitment at other schools. Honestly, I don't know what to say. That sounds completely fine to me. The rules are there for a good reason, but they were also made before things like Facebook, which completely changed the way people communicate. I don't know how the NCAA could possibly regulate all of this stuff, but it's not really my call to make. Long-set rules often have trouble adapting to changing landscapes - but until it changes, gets eased up or becomes more well defined, that message from the compliance staff is all we've got to work with. T, there are two completely different issues here. Backlash against people stalking on current players (has that even been a huge issue?) is completely different from teetering on the line of recruiting violations. I'd love it if it weren't the case, but it is what it is. Trust me I wouldn't try to recruit a kid to Nebraska. People get paid good money to do that so until they pay mei'm not recruiting anybody lol

  11. Prepare for the backlash from older Sker fans that think friend'ing players on facebook is freaky, childish, and should be outlawed. When I was in college I did it. It's fun to be friends with Huskers, and that is a scientific fact! There's a distinction between players and recruits. For RECRUITS, it is a completely different story. The relationship between 'fan' and 'recruit' is absolutely forbidden. Note the Message from the NU Athletic Department Staff we have posted here. Basically...don't do it. It's non-negotiable, whether you go to UNL or not. What if the recruit adds you?
  12. Wasn't it suppose to be between UCLA and Nebraska? If LSU is still in it they'd have to be the favorited.
  13. Ugh beating Texas this year would be just as big as winning the title. Gotta love college football.
  14. Bo Pelini taking over the Nebraska program.... Oh wait you asked what game? I'll say last years Mizzou game.
  15. If Nebraska wins the Big XII does this make them the most hated team in the midwest?
  16. I somewhat agree. Green is the elusive / break your ankles type back. If I want an Iback to run between the tackles I want a thumper like Q was or someone with a little more weight on them. Where to begin with Aaron Green? A great talent but is a RB that can run between the tackles more valuable? Green is the kind of player Nebraska needs to win if they want to be a title contend for a title every year, however is not getting him as big as not getting a guy like OWA or a Mickey Johnson (if we don't get Mickey Johnson)? Not getting Owa was a different scenario than Aarons. Owa was not a position of need, personally the only thing that made me fall in love with Owa was the fact that he can change a game defensivly. But we are so stacked at DE that not getting him wasn't a end all. Not getting Aaron will hurt more because of Braylon Heard most likely not qualifying and Roy graduating after this season. As for Mickey Johnson he hasnt made a decision yet, but I have a good feeling about him. Mickey absolutly loves Nebraska, Suh, and our coaching staff we will be in Mickeys top group for the rest of his process. And welcome to the board HuskerBill! I believe Heard will be elgible for 2011 won't he? Him, Rexy, and Dontray we'll be golden at that position. Don't get me wrong I love Green and want to get him especially all the attention he'll bring to Nebraska recruiting it will land even more big name recruits IMO.
