  1. Instructions: Go to www.yellowpages.com and type in restaurants and your city and state and then search. A list of restaurants will come up in your city. Click on website if the restaurant listing that you are interested in has one and sign up for their offers. Some restaurants should have coupons for your birthday and anniversary. Some restaurants have email deals and some won't. I went through all the restaurants where I live to get email offers. It took me a long time to do that, but, it was worth my time. So if anyone reads this, do this and you will get email deals where you live.

  10. Bacon=Wrapped Tater Tots: This is a great recipe for the upcoming Super Bowl. The process of making this appetizer is very easy; tater tots and a jalapeno slice are wrapped in bacon and then deep fried. They are then topped with cheese and served with Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. It does require a little bit of work because you have to wrap all of the tater tots individually, but, the end result is delicious. It is best to allow the tater tots to thaw a little out of the freezer so that you can easily slide a toothpick through them. You may not need the entire bag of tater tots, so I would recommend taking out a few at a time and setting them aside to prevent contamination. The same thing goes for the pickled jalapenos. If you are looking for a great tasting appetizer for game day, give this one a try. 1-(32-oz.)-Bag Ore Ida Frozen Tater Tots 12-ozs. Bacon-(Each Slice Cut In Half) 16-ozs. Pickled Jalapeno Peppers, Sliced 16-ozs. Colby-Jack Cheese 1/2 Cup Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Toothpicks Slightly defrost the tater tots to allow the toothpicks to go through. Hold a jalapeno slice around a tater tot and then wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around and secure it together with a toothpick. Repeat until all of the bacon is used up. Heat oil in a deep-fat fryer to 375 degrees. Deep-Fat Fry tater tots in batches for 3-4 minutes or until brown and crispy looking. Drain on paper towel-lined paper plate. Repeat until all of the tater tots have been fried. Immediately sprinkle with cheese-(you can microwave them a little so that the cheese melts better.) Serve with Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing in a bowl, off to the side, for dipping.

Add corn and flour mixture and cook over medium-low heat for 40-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  18. I love Pillsbury Grands:) It is easier than making them:) I am making sausage gravy over biscuits and hashbrowns for dinner tonight.
  19. I just buy the biscuits. Someday I may get energized and make some:) This is the biscuit that was shown with the gravy recipe. The biscuit recipe got good reviews. If I ever get around to making them and it is a good recipe, I will post it. Here is a biscuit recipe that got good reviews: http://southern.food...de=null&st=true
  20. I love sausage gravy over biscuits and this is one of my favorite things to make. I also like to serve it over hashbrowns. Sausage Gravy: 1 Scallion, Finely Chopped-(The White Part Only) 1 lb. Pork Sausage 4 T. Butter 4 T. Flour 1 Cup Heavy Cream 1 Cup Milk ***Or Just Use 2 Cups Milk 1 Pinch Cayenne Pepper 1 Pinch Coarse Salt 1 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper Preheat a large skillet to medium-high. Add the scallion whites-(and a tiny drop of oil)-and sauté them for about a minute. Add the pork sausage and break up with a wooden spoon, browning all over for about 8 minutes. While the sausage is browning, melt the butter in a medium sauce pan. Once melted and the foaming has subsided, add the flour. Whisk until it becomes a nice golden paste, about a minute. Add the cream, milk, cayenne, salt and pepper. Whisk until nice and thick and creamy. Pour the sausage into the cream sauce, little by little Serve over sliced biscuits; garnish with parsley-(opt.)
  21. Crockpot Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes: ***This is a large batch of mashed potatoes! You can easily half the recipe with great results. 5 lbs. Red Potatoes 3 Cloves Garlic Salt & Pepper 1 Tsp. Chicken Bouillon Granules 1 Cup Water 8 T. Butter, Divided 1/3 Cup Sour Cream 1/2 Cup Milk Or Whipping Cream Wash the red potatoes well. Peel most of the outer coating off. If you don’t like the texture of a little peel in the mashed potatoes, you can peel ever bit of the skin off. Put them into a 4-7 quart Crockpot and sprinkle them generously with salt and pepper. Place 3 cloves of garlic into the center of a square of aluminum foil. Wrap garlic up like a big Hershey Kiss and stick it in the corner of the Crockpot. Pour 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules into 1 cup of warm water; stir it in. Pour the broth mixture over the top of the potatoes. Cut 4 tablespoons of butter into small pieces and place them in random spots over the top of the potatoes. Cover the Crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 7-8 hours. ***Depending on how fast your Crockpot cooks. When the potatoes are fork tender, remove the aluminum foil from the Crockpot, open it and smash the roasted garlic with a fork. Add half of it to back into the Crockpot; if you want more garlic taste, you can add a bit more after everything is mixed together and you have a chance to taste it. Best to start with a little bit first. Pour 1/2 cup milk or whipping cream, 4 T. butter and 1/3 cup sour cream into the Crockpot. Put hand mixer in the Crockpot and blend everything together; or put in a bowl and mix until you have fluffy, smooth mashed potatoes. ***You can add more milk or whipping cream if they are too thick for your liking. Give them a taste and add more garlic, salt and pepper, if you would like.
  22. Ok..lets pretend that we are together at Christmas and you made tacos...I love tacos:) And peanut butter cookies were in the bag I got, you want to trade me for the tacos you made? :)
  23. My grandma and my mom always did this for Xmas. They would buy miscellaneous items and put them in paper bags then each family member would get to choose a bag and open it. When all the bags were opened, you could offer to trade each other with the present they got. Sometimes we would have to trade 2 presents, etc. for the present the other family member got that we wanted. So if you see something on sale when you are out, you may want to buy it. If you buy some things each month..it would add up for Xmas next year. We bargained a lot to get the present that a family member had and we had the present that they wanted. We had a lot of laughs over it. The items don't have to be expensive. The items could be toothpaste, soap, razors, socks, a box of macaroni, etc. Be creative:) Anyway, thought I would share that idea with you. I hope you all are having a fun and nice Xmas:)
