Those Big 12 refs had it out for Nebraska again last night, 12 penalties to 3. Bebe sure does hate the Huskers! What's that? Those weren't Big 12 refs? Your unimaginative play calling and lack of offensive play makers is the reason you failed to score more than 7 points again? Ya'll run along now and enjoy playing against schools you have no historical rivalries with in places like Champagne, Iowa City and West Layfayette. Thanks for leaving the conference by crying, pouting and screaming (just like your coach) the whole year. You left us all with a lasting impression of a bunch of cry babies. We're excited for this one, but we play a bigger game every Thanksgiving. Spouses, family members, coworkers, friends....most everyone has something on the line in Texas when the Aggies and Longhorns get together. It's going to be packed and it's going to be loud this Saturday, but once Sunday rolls around so does the most important game of the year.

We're not the only ones with a cool atmosphere, but we know that we have a unique atmosphere that is special to our University and I think most Aggies are proud of that, and rightfully so. Maybe you would "get us more" if we were blasting Seven Nation Army or Enter Sandman from the loudspeakers instead of letting our band play. Maybe we should have cheerleaders hold up hand held signs like Texas-Fight or Boomer-Sooner instead of doing our own unique yells, which we have several of. You'll get your fair share of your type of "Cool Atmosphere" when you head to the Big Ten and hang out with all the Frat Daddy's from Madison to State College.

Not sure if they'll be a place at Northgate showing the fight, the two places I would call and check would be Buffalo Wild Wings on University Dr (It's between Texas Ave and Hwy 6) and Wings N' More which is on University too.

If you're a Nebraska fan and got scalped a student ticket you'll be in for a suprise on gameday when you get to the gate and don't have a TAMU Student ID to accompany that ticket and they turn you away. A few things to consider: Nebraska has sold out more than 300 consecutive games, one of the most impressive stats in all of sports. Because of that you have a high demand for tickets and you can limit your student allotment. A&M in recent years (we've been pretty average to down right poor for the last decade) probably sells out 2-3 games per year (Texas, Texas Tech, OU, Nebraska, etc.). Therefore the Nebraska athletic department can do whatever they want to limit their students and shove them up in the corner of the South endzone at Memorial Stadium. AS a previous poster mentioned, the 12th Man (students) get prime seats at Kyle Field, right behind the visiting teams bench from goal line to goal line bottom of the stadium to the top. The band sits right behind the visitor's bench between the 20 and 40 yard line. I haven't had as good a seat after I graduated than I did freshman to senior year, and that's the way it should be! Those are the students classmates that are competing and everyone that wants to should have the ability to go and support them on game day. This of course means that former students and other fans have to subsidize the student body. Do you know how crazy it drives $Bill Byrne that he can't charge premium rates for 50 yard line seats for half the stadium? So everyone else ends up fitting the bill, A&M has the highest season ticket prices in the Big 12 and I'll be glad to keep it that way if it means tradition is upheld and the 12th Man continues to be a factor during games. Now where's the fun in that? It's not college football unless you have a couple near heart attacks and break out in a sweat at least once! Or maybe that's just applicable to Aggie football fans...it's been a rough decade. I hear you, but what with the Iowa State game and all, I don't know if I can take much more stress. I'd like a nice, fun blowout. Where you can enjoy your 2nd half beers in peace, rather than choking on them. Btw, be good if TAMU eventually secedes to the SEC. Get out from under TXass's thumb. Just hope you can hang when you get down there. Just so you know we've never been under Texas' thumb, and never will be. The A&M College of Texas is the oldest institute of higher learning in the state of Texas, not UT. The state has an Aggie governor, Austin has an Aggie mayor, the US Secretary of Defense was the A&M President when I was in school. The two universities are the only two recipeints of the Texas PUF. If they want to go be independent, more power to them, but remember the teams who benefited most from the Big 12's unequal revenue sharing were Texas, OU, A&M and Nebraska.

We will have 2 RV's parked side by side that will be full of members of my family who went to A&M and members of my family who grew up in Nebraska and went to UNL. We will be pulling in on Friday and leaving after breakfast on Sunday, I've been looking forward to it all year. Here is what there is to do on a game weekend in College Station: If you like to partake in an adult beverage or two, Northgate is where it's at. Northgate is not one bar, but a group of bars, restaurants and shops on University Dr. (FM 60) between College Main Dr. and Welborn Rd. The most famous bar in this area is the Dixie Chicken. The Chicken is an old school Texas bar complete with a back porch, pool tables, dominos, country music, taxidermy on the walls and cold cheap beer. My favorite place is the Corner Bar, and it has become more popular in recent years since they've expanded in size and added a 3rd floor balcony patio (the weather will be great this weekend btw). It's a good socializing/sports bar with a great view. Other places that I recommend are Fitzwilly's (good bar food), The Dry Bean Saloon (shot bar...nothing but shots), Mad Hatters, O'Bannons, Zapatos and Logan's. If you want to dance there's a place called Daisy Dukes (haven't been since I was a sophmore and it had a different name) or two places a little further away are Hurricane Harry's, east on University or The Texas Hall of Fame (in Bryan off hwy 2818). Most of these places are 21 and up and will be packed Friday night and Saturday night during and after the game. There is a parking garage north of the bars that is $10 a day on game days. On Saturday, some of these places will start to fill up around noon and it's about a 10 minute walk across campus to Kyle Field. If you came to the games in 1998 or 2002, you can no longer bring your own alcohol to the back promonade on Northgate and socialize (a little bit of me died when they outlawed this). If you have been drinking on Friday or Saturday night and can't drive home you can get a free ride from Carpool, an A&M student organization, just call them at 979-693-9905. Some decent restaurants in the Northgate area include La Bodega, Cafe Eccel, and Freebird's world famous burritos (until everyone else on the planet copied them.....). Most of the places I mentioned have websites, just google them. Midnight yell practice is at Kyle Field on Friday night and starts at (you guessed it) midnight. If you are looking for a unique college tradition you will want to go and show up around 11:40 (parking can be a bit of a pain so give yourself some time). You are not forced to participate, you are welcome to wear red, our yell leaders will tell some stories with smack talk - but it's all in good fun, and when they turn the lights out at the end you kiss your date. It's a great college tradition that everyone should see at least once. If you are looking for more of a family atmosphere, the Aggie fan zone is located on the north end of Kyle Field on game day and has all sorts of activities: games, moon bounce, A&M athletic museum, food, etc (http://www.aggieathletics.com/school-bio/aggie-fan-zone.html). Tailgates will be located on the east side and west side of Kyle Field. I've been surrounded by both fan bases all my life and you may find this blasphemous, but Aggie fans are just as friendly as Husker fans. We my not give a standing ovation to teams we've just beaten as they leave the field, but if you come over and want to talk football or shoot the bull we are more than happy to do so and will most likely share some food and drink with you as well. The Corps of Cadets and Fighting Texas Aggie Band march in will start around 5:30 on Friday night on the northeast side of the stadium before they enter Kyle Field. If you are sitting in the 300, 400, or 500 sections be prepared to walk up ramps and more ramps and more ramps. If you need an elevator they do have them but the line is lengthy. I'm usually in my seats 45 minutes before gametime to soak it all in (if you're sensitive to noise, bring your ear plugs . I hope everyone has a safe trip and enjoys their stay. Thanks and Gig'em,

Or...if Purify were called for Offensive PI This. It still feels like a punch to the gut when I think about that play, Purify shoved Jordan Peterson while the ball was in the air and was never whistled for Offensive PI, and after our stupid roughing penalties extended the drive.

He's technically a graduate assistant, much like TO was when he was getting his PhD I believe. While his title is offensive quality control, he spends the majority of his time in practice with the tight ends and fullbacks/h-backs. On gamedays he's the one that signals in plays and or formations to the offense.

Born and grew up in Lincoln, first game was a Huskers game, and family are Husker fans - and you're an Aggie? Tisk Tisk. I wasn't born in Texas, but the grace of God got me here as soon as possible. And yes, Nebraska's rank is 105

I dont believe Swope will be able to bust coverage in the slot, and Cyrus might get his yards but as soon as we make the right adjustments could be tough for him. As for Tannehill, he hasnt seen a defensive backfield like this yet so this is his real litmus test. I think it will be a close game. I appreciate your smug and hope your team feels the same way. Tannehill may be a little green at QB (he's been on the field all year), but we'll do more than you are giving us credit for. Please, keep thinking we'll show up and lay down like a week 2 1-AA team. You might have a long ride back to Lincoln in your future. Nobody thinks Texas A&M is bad, or that they'll lay down. However, here's a list of QB's the Blackshirts have made look silly over the past 2 years: Tyrod Taylor, Blaine Gabbert, Landry Jones, Colt McCoy, Nick Foles, Nathan Enderle, Jake Locker We've also seen a QB go 4-16 against you and win Funny things can happen in football games. Yes, OSU clearly showed their dominance over A&M by beating them at home on the last play of the game after the Aggies turned it over 5 times..... lol! Heh.....that's a damn good point. It'll be a whale of a game! OSU is playing better at this point of the season though,If atm were to play Osu again the would get smoked. Perhaps you can help me better objectively understand why OSU would "smoke" A&M right now because they are playing so much better at this point in the season.
