  1. YAWN!!!! Nothing to see here. If Cam Newton is able to play this is nothing more than a quiet non smelling fart in a public place. Now if little Barry is able to get a scholly slot in the oversigned class that is the question.
  2. I am hopeful and a backer of Big Red Hoops(as shown with emotion/anger/dissappointment/elation in some of my posts this season in other threads), but I am also a realists in ways. That being said, I will refuse to go out on a limb with predictions until after Wednesday night. Lose to KState and the Texas game is nice but maybe for not. There is a lot of work to do and KState is fighting for their tourney lives as well and still possess one of the premier players in the league. I love eating any crow that Doc serves up, but let's see something good to back up something that potentially can be great. A trait Doc teams have failed to do in the past. Okay now to the sunshine...............
  3. This faceplam is for me expecting to find some kind of merit in a thread titled as is. Man the insomnia tonight is killing me. Here I was expecting to find something thought provoking and backed with some solid facts, info, data, anything. I should have known. Oh what the hell , one for the thread as well. Now someone make some attempt at validating this...this...whatever this is.
  4. For the love of Allah delete some of the posts in your replies so it doesn't take a half hour of scrolling down to read three rebuttles.
  5. This. Peterson is way more "polished" IMO and he gets that edge by playing in the SEC and seeing way more NFL credible WR's than Prince has seen in the Big XII(namely Justin Blackmon). Peterson has gone up and slowed down the likes of Julio Jones AJ Green and Darvin Adams at Auburn. The special teams factor is an asset that many NFL teams look at because it helps them fill a couple spots on the roster versus having to sign someone else a HUGE plus in their eyes. I love Prince and what he has done here, especially while rocking the flat top. But there is a reason the "experts" have Peterson higher as well. So I pick Peterson as well.
  6. Not a diehard fan by anymeans, but had seen this in the Journal Star the other day that it was tied and saw on journalstar.com that it had been broken. So..... I gotta give a shout out to Nebraska softball freshman Taylor Edwards for hitting a homerun in her sixth consecutive game a new NCAA record. Looks like Rhonda Revelle has the girls playing well again as they have won 8 in a row, are now 10-1, and ranked #21. Here's to hoping the Haymarket ball fields are buzzing with excitement this spring.
  7. Nebraska goes 3-1 down in Texas after trouncing Missouri St 16-4 today. Kale Kiser finishes off a great tourney by going 5-6 with a grand salami, NU's second of the year after Kash did it last night against Washington. Hopefully NU has found it's stroke after the Texas St. game. Sean Yost goes 5.2 for the W today giving up three runs.
  8. +1 ya for the effort made backer. However, the answer to your question is very simple. 1. The Huskers. Aa you said in another thread the BOB needs to be packed the final two home games. None of the games left a re easy by any means. One could say the trip to Ames could be as they are depleted and tired, but they just gave Mizzou all they wanted and more, and there is still the road effect with this team. Every game will be a struggle for NU and each is VERY important. So let's start with Cats on Wednesday, and hope the turnovers are down this time. 2. The teams if all goes well for the Huskers in their games. You need to become, and a lot of people will hate it, Texas and KU fans. They both play teams that are in the logjam with NU. Also teams that tey are playing won't get killed in the RPI for losing to the Horns and Hawks, thus not killing NU's RPI(which can use all the help iit can get). Like I said though, it starts with NU first and there can be no egg laying at this moment.
  9. I'm thinking Blake Griffin jumps over the backboard with a reverse dunk for the win

Unbelievable. I'm waiting for saomeone to dunk it over the backboard. That would be insane.

Simple, throw the ball over the backboard, and hang on to the top of it. Totally forget about the rim in general.

  10. Congrats to Mike Shoff your 285lb State Champ. Got to wrestle into the 2nd period as the Bazata kid put up a valiant fight. Alas Shoff pinned him quickly into the 2nd.
  11. Knee looks fine as of tonight. Pinned his opponent in :13 in the first period tonight in the State Wrestling SemiFinals match. For what it is worth, Shoff played in Cambridge's final three football games this year so I would say the knee is all good. The Rest of the Story
  12. A great game to a putrid choke job to a W is a W and ya take as you get them. I have bashed Diaz as hard as maybe a couple others on this board. After the first four minutes it looked as if I had more ammo for the kicking. He was getting pushed around everywhere and had his deer in headlights look. However, he played very strong from that point on, until the end where he gave me more ammo, but not today. Not to spoil this win. This team had every chance to roll over when Texas looked to pull away early up nine and then at the half, but credit to them they stepped up. My Player of the Game.....Andre Almeida. He played HUGE today. The announcers called his the "The Bouncer" I liked that as he controlled who came in the paint and who didn't. This is what I expected of him once he got into shape and I think we are going to start seeing a lot more productivity out of him down the stretch. Also gets mad props for playing smart once the fould started mounting on him. Runners up....Toney McCray and B Rich. Brandon knifed into the taller Texas palyers and owned the first part of the seond half. All was bigger because Jeter had a little of an off day with the fouls. Toney, we all knew he had games like this in him. If he can keep playing at this level there is a chance this team can make a very strong run to end the year. But let's enjoy this one tonight. We have all witnessed before the type of product that has followed a big win or strong showing in the past.
  13. HALLELUJIA!!!!!!!!! The road streak on Wednesday. Texas today. NIT for sure.

  21. No I am just saying how when something good may be happening the users increase. It is always like this for bball. We welcome all though. Usually there are 3 or 4 of us on most of the game.
  22. I am with you on that. But am willing to eat crow when Doc's boys serve it up to me.
