Key difference... he knows who is boss is at A&M and clearly believes in the guy. We apparently don't have a firm vision or leaders in place that instill confidence that the University is set up for success. @knapplc was spot on that the problem lies with the University administration and the Board of Regents. Sad to see it play out as it did today.

I wonder if Trev has had to make commitments that he can’t stand behind because there’s no leadership.  It would be tough from an integrity standpoint.

Getting facilities built & upgraded.  Program direction.

It’s been vacant for just over two months.  They’ve known for 7.  Hard to understand how they can’t find someone in that time, but whatever.

Im nitpicking because Sjuts is a stooge.

    PSU AD has been mentioned

KU AD who I think is a younger guy

Jamie Pollard from ISU always comes up

    Ed Stewart

And of course we can only dream but maybe...Kevin Warren?

I like Pollard & the KU guy.  He’s a KU grad, but spent some time at Northwestern.

From a friend/retired professor from UNL, this is not as much a political issue (although that plays a role) and much more of an internal bureaucracy issue within the Nebraska system. Ten years ago my friend described disfunction from the administration down into the individual colleges. Petty fighting, power struggles, etc. From what he knows after retiring just a few years ago, it's as bad or worse now.

When Penn State joined the Big Ten, its academics improved from around 50-55 on US News & World Report's rankings into the 20s by 2011 when we officially joined. I expected Nebraska to make a similar leap, but here we are 13 years later, and our ranking has actually decreased from where we were in 2011.

Innovation Campus was hailed as a burgeoning area of growth for the University more than a decade ago. Today it is less than half complete and there are, to my knowledge, no current plans to finish that expected growth. There are no business partners lining up to work on campus with UNL like, for instance, happened in Boulder when CU enticed companies to invest in their university.

Of course these issues exist at other universities. But they seem endemic to UNL, and whatever issues we've been facing haven't been fixed in more than a decade.

I go to church with a few former UNL professors.  They have both moved on recently.  They described it as liberating.

If he leaves it is a pretty lame thing to do to the state.

He was the UNO AD just a few years ago.  Wasn’t on anyone’s radar.

Its like we are losing an unproven recruit that came in a played well for a few years.

I've looked a couple of times to try to find where I said I'd take the under on 20 wins.  I can't seem to find it so maybe (hopefully for my sake) I just made that up.

But I will admit I was definitely wrong about this team coming into the season.

I don’t even want to go back and look at my prediction.  I thought this team had zero chance without Walker.  I thought KT was unreliable and had too much hype.

    Awesome to be wrong.

Money going on OSU & over. Lines are up to OSU by 3.5 & 145.5

Or we shoot a crap load of 3s.  Not as fun as thinking we are getting jobbed.

This kind of game against a ranked team is as good as a win...as long as we finish strong against the rest of the lower teams.

I agree with this.  The Huskers had a good confidence about them tonight.  There were several calls that impacted the game, which is unfortunate.  I think a good rebound against NW will go a long way.

He must’ve been a noob. I’ve worked around (construction) meat packing and there are all sorts of things that would make a person puke….but you get used to it and over it pretty quick. I’ve been in a pit of coagulating blood up to my neck, arms covered in paunch (cow stomach contents) and many many other gross unmentionables. The only time I ever puked was my first time just walking by rendering in the morning (with a hangover). Just from the smell. Meat packing and processing plants are nasty.

Rendering is probably the worst thing I ever smelled.  I toured a plant one time where there was a lady packing hog brains into a plastic dish.  I had to stop and do a second take because I wasn't sure what I was watching.  But like you said, you get used to it eventually.

And abcesses are gross.  It's like a zit that can be softball size or bigger.

He only played 14 minutes because his defense was horrible last night.  He's never great on defense, but last night was especially bad.  Note sure if it was matchups or if he just had a bad defensive night.

When this team plays great defense and hits shots they are electric.  There were times were the D got a little lazy and allowed tOSU back in it.  But overall they played really well.

Mast obviously had a great night, but I was really impressed with Wilcher.  I also like what Allick is doing.  If Allick can score 6-8 points a game it's going to be huge.  He's just so athletic and works his a$$ off.  He's just so terrible shooting.
