@admo good to see Coleman with a big TD catch today. Hope it's the first of many in a Husker uniform.

i hope the new injuries today are not severe. the injuries this year are getting crazy
Piper's looked really bad. They had to use a Gator to cart him off. I'm afraid he broke his ankle.

For all of the whining about penalties during the Illinois game (which were bad), NU had a good response today with only 2 penalties for 20 yards.

Never apologize for a win. I know it wasn't pretty, but if you are expecting for NU to "win pretty" you haven't been watching this team all year.
Just now, Archy1221 said:Glad they won. Gotta get more production out of the QB though. HH has been worse than bad throwing the ball for a few games now.
I agree with you, but it's hard to bench a guy who has won 4 out of 5 games.

How fitting for our defense to win this for us because our offense is atrocious, shameful, and pathetic to say the least.
You are the worst.

Worst play call EVER
Ehh. He didn’t have a turn over and made NW burn a timeout.

Haarberg is not good at running QB draw.

Props to chica ref for seeing that one
She’s ref hot

NW may try to go for it if Rhule doesn’t accept it.

Boy open Lloyd on the out or forcing it in to FIdone who's giving a defender a piggy back ride. What a great decision
Yep, HH doesn’t anticipate WR’s coming open. It’s a long throw, but there was space to Lloyd at the top of the field.

Is Haarberg injured? He is running pretty tentatively.
He doesn’t run hard until he builds up a head of steam. He’s not quick, just fast and big.
-
At least Hartzog hustled to keep the WR out of the end zone. Still have effort.

What a dumb OC now!!!

Is it me or is our offense steadily getting worse with each passing week. What are we practicing? How to suck more? We nailed that with flying colors. Again, we are playing NORTHWESTERN.
Well, many of the more experienced WR’s are now out, as well as the top 2 RB’s from the start of the year. That might be a reason.

Satterfield must be very impressed with himself today. He is really earning his high salary.
He basically ran 4 straight times which you wanted to.

Hence TALENT. Satt should know HH can't pass. Yet he calls passing 3 in a row. Play call was great. IFF you have a QB that can throw it.
Then it would be impossible for any OC to succeed right now.

There's been guys open today. The problem is the QB.
I agree.

Make it 3. Talent is no excuse for sh!t play calling. Satt needs to be on the lava seat.
That first play call had a guy wide open for a big play. I liked the play call.

Why does satterfield think that HH is Peyton Manning?
Shouldn’t have needed Peyton Manning to make that pass on first down. But, I don’t like 2 passes in a row to start this series.
-
D made up for the long pass, helped by the NW penalty.
-
Newsome did a great job of staying home on that potential throw back.

Um. If you could just help me out a little here. Right now we're 3 and 3 (1 and 2 conference) and I keep seeing articles about bowl games.
I don't want anymore articles on bowl games. 3 and 3 teams don't get bowl games.
I want to beat Northwestern. I want to beat Northwestern. I want to beat Northwestern.
After that, should we win (we better) we can talk about Purdue.
Get it together once and for all, beat MI. State then talk about bowl games.
Lighten up, Francis.

I don’t disagree but my comments were based mostly on our opponents and glossed over where NU has been as a program for the last forever. I mean really, with this schedule we wouldn’t need to be world beaters to have only one loss. But, like you point out and I agree with, it’s also not very realistic given where we’ve been and where we are currently. Probably the easiest schedule we’ve had in the B1G thus far and definitely easier than what is on the horizon.
Oh yeah, I agree that the schedule is going to get much tougher without divisions in the Big Ten. It’s like those crappy North divisions back in the Big 12, and we were disappointed when NU couldn’t manage to be competitive for the division titles.

Oh absolutely.
Plus, Trev got to observe the program for a year to see what the shortcomings were and how he could communicate that to the coaching candidates, as well as get the entire fan base on board with firing Frost.

But, Northwestern's Wildcat QB wasn't effective. It's not like he did anything against NU's D.
