Now Wisconsin knows how we feel with the crappy officiating. It's definitely not just us being victimized by it.

Would be nice if we could keep things working on both sides of the ball. Seems like whenever one unit does well, the other takes a series off and kills our momentum.

Anyone who thinks Martinez is capable of playing on Sundays need only watch that last throw. NFL scouts would puke if they had to watch that. (EDIT: Then he actually makes a nice throw. He's full of surprises, I'll give him that!)

Absolutely have to take advantage of that short field. Anything less than a TD on this drive would be a massive disappointment.

To make people ask why I started the thread if I already know what we learned. In that endeavor, I was successful.

At this point, all I can think of is horseshoes and hand grenades.

I considered going with "Did We Learn Anything?" for the title, but I don't want to break the format. Honestly, it doesn't feel like we did learn anything today. This has been the Huskers' MO all season long against opponents with a pulse: the defense keeps us competitive but gets gassed and gives up just what the other team needs to beat us, the offense has a few big plays here and there but spends most of the game spinning its wheels, and special teams... yeah. I don't need to say anything more about that. I think I said something similar in another WDWL thread here: this team has heart, but heart ain't enough.

That's Frost's job to figure out if he wants to keep his.

Did anyone predict this game to end in any other way than exactly how it ended? It's like clockwork.

I'm fine with giving Frost another year to sort it out, but with the caveat that he needs to find some assistants who know what they're doing. Austin and Verduzco need to go and we need a dedicated ST coordinator at the very least.

If only we had a kicker half as good as Ruggles.

Needed a big punt from Przystup there. Good to see special teams actually rising to the occasion for a change.

To be fair, having to decide between which unit we trust less between offense and special teams isn't a good time. Then again, I think you have to give a slight edge to our offense, just because they occasionally make a good play.

I get that holding happens on about every play and doesn't get called, but how does a DL get straight up tackled and not get the call?

That's as good of a defensive stand as we could've hoped for to end the half.

Good thing OSU is out of time outs, I'm not thrilled about running it and trusting our punter to flip the field.
