We haven't done any remodeling and the only houses that have sold in our neighborhood are all lower priced than what we bought ours for. On top of that, the other neighbors didn't have an adjustment to theirs. We are definitely going to contest it.
We have some friends that had theirs go up 11k also but they put in all new siding, gutters and windows and also redone their front entry. I can see it getting raised for that but we have literally done nothing and it jumped 70k.
