I also think Freeman is the best fit

The bad accent is an omen for Kelly... dude will be dead on arrival
I like the Freeman hire the most, I think he will do well at ND
-
So since they forced 2 SEC teams in the 4 team playoff... yet again.... will this finally be the push they need?

I honestly think Kelly is gonna flop
Definitely. The fake accent and all the flak he is getting is just a bad omen

@Huskinator Yeah, that's the other thing, the 'co'. Still, he's been with Chadwell at three different schools - I'd imagine he has a pretty solid grasp on what makes their offense tick by now. No play calling experience, though.
Makes me wonder if we could maybe end up with co-offensive coordinators ourselves? Like co-OC Korn coaching QBs and another co-OC with a P5 background coaching WRs or RBs.
Korn/Joseph share the OC while being QB and WR as well?
That could work...
wait... Joseph doesn't have P5 oc experience... dammit

Ron Brown makes the most sense at RB coach. He is experienced and proven. Every position he has coached has excelled

That's who I wanted to replace Pelini. Probably safe to say his coaching days are behind him.
I actually looked into this recently, looks like he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease

The moral of this story is that Mario Verduzco has pulled the greatest heist over this university and state in the history of this progrum.
I don't know about the greatest, but its definitely up there with that bozo that Riley brought in as a Special teams coordinator... I can't remember his name but our special teams were a dumpster fire and he was making $500k a year

With the way the season has gone, I can't say i'd be shocked if we managed to win this game while losing the remaining two
but I voted for the soul crushing one score loss

I get the attempt at sarcasm, but Franklin has been at PSU for 8 years and had 7 winning seasons. He is 25 games over .500 at PSU.
If our coach had Franklins resume you would not see as many fans concerned.

This seems to be a theme around here the last decade or so, playing injured QBs. There was no reason to not bring in Smothers against Minne, while resting and getting 2AM healthy. surely 3 weeks off is better than 2 if you are trying to get back to 100% right?

Man, they have suchhhhhh an easy schedule. They got Purdee next, then Wiscy, then NW, then Minne, then Ill, then us.
We need Wisky and Minne to beat them. Then we beat them for the division.
I'd like to see Michigan win out and we get our revenge on them in the championship game
I'd be good with that

I actually really hope they keep winning. That we we can crush their hopes when we kick their a$$ in November.
I for one, would love to ruin their perfect season

He started 39 games on the O-line for Wisconsin, a Captain his senior year and was a 3 time Honorable mention for the All Big 10 Team. No idea on coaching or recruiting skills though...
