  1. Need to recruit this guy hard cause need more talented depth to fill those nickel and dime spots.
  2. Thanks for the welcome, but I have to disagree that our offensive scheme will not work in the B1G, there were chances to hurt their D, just didn't executive. It doesn't matter what scheme you run as long as there is a physical run game and the personnel to do so. As mentioned earlier, if the defense would've played like they cared NU wouldn't have looked so bad. Anyways, I look forward to competing in the B1G.
  3. Go back and look at our secondary in 2008, this defense is very similar to 2008. Western Michigan- 24 points given up, 342 yards and 2 TD's San Jose State, squeeked by- outgained 353 yards to 315 yards, wer only up 14-12 until Paul returned a kickoff then a couple more TD's in the 4th 35 points to Virginia Tech, 52 to Missouri, 37 to Texas Tech, 62 to Oklahoma, 35 to Kansas, 31 to Colorado. People take the last two years where Marvin was loaded with talent and had solid pressure from the front 4 typically and forget 2008. Raymond will be fine, he's in his first year and has a lot of inexperience in his group. I agree and he'll continue to get talent to run Pelini's system that again is more challenging to learn that what most teams run.
  4. One thing about our LBs, I do agree that he should sit a game or two to give someone else a shot. On a positive, if the current class can stay together, I like the athleticism BO is building at LB. With the exception of David, I can't say that the D is athletic at that position. With Fisher I just feel he isn't as athletic enough to recover from being out of position, and that may have lots to do with is leg injury.
  5. Bo said himself that the learning curve is steep for his philosophy and that he wasn't doing to dumb things down to make it easier for his young players. There was a ton of experience in the secondary in 09 & 10, so I was overly cautious abt this year. If those kids can steadily grasp his scheme our D will be much better come December and they'll be a problem for B1G next season. JMO
  6. Gomes was an outstanding Peso back, he had a great knack to defending the run and great coverage skills
  7. This year we're gonna take our lumps on D because of youth and the complexity of the defense. There is a huge learning curve but the payout is large.
  8. As I said a few days earlier, I'd admit if I was wrong and sure enough I was. Great game Wisky and you guys have a special player in Wilson, great guy on and off the field. Hope to see you in December with a better showing.
  9. I put more of this on Beck because he still could have protected Martinez a little more by sticking to the run. Martinez just needs to some how hit his checkdowns as they've there all night.
  10. The positive is that our season is still intact, hopefully, most noteably Beck and T mart, take some things from this disaster. This game is completely different without the Turnovers, the score reflects that. If our guys can rebound and win the Legends, Wisky is gonna see a much different team. Our guys beat themselves.
  11. As much as it sucks to see us lose like this, we got a young team, Wisky is very experienced and probably as goods as they'll probably be. This game should be close right now, but stupid mistakes and coaching blunders got us in a hole. I still have faith in our season and team. Wisky is making our boys pay for OUR mistakes, have to give them credit.
  12. I feel Beck got away from what our O is. He put too much on T Mart by having him drop back and pass often in the second qtr.
  13. The secondary has talent BUT the is not discipline. How ever tonight goes this will be a learning experience.
  14. Must get a stop on D, had our chances but Wilson/receivers are making plays
  15. We got some breaks on our TD drive and they got some breaks also (PI call)
  16. It's a bit surprising to say the least, I hope everything is alright
