gamecocks
Georgia quarterback Joe Tereshinski III, who started the No. 10 Bulldogs' first two games, has a high right ankle sprain and will miss four to six weeks and won't be available in the team's next three games, coach Mark Richt said Sunday. Tereshinski's injury means highly regarded freshman Matthew Stafford, from Highland Park, Texas, will start at quarterback, beginning with Saturday's game against Alabama-Birmingham at Sanford Stadium. "I don't think anyone's established themselves as a solid number one," Richt told The Associated Press. "I do think we've got more than one good answer. And hopefully one guy will settle this thing and we'll move on from there." Stafford, who enrolled at Georgia in January and competed with Tereshinski and two other quarterbacks for the starting job, took over when Tereshinski was hurt in the first quarter in Saturday night's 18-0 win at South Carolina. Stafford completed 8 of 19 passes for 171 yards and threw three interceptions. Redshirt freshman Joe Cox will be Georgia's backup quarterback. ttheKid1*18
I was wondering why Stafford played a lot. sCUm still has a 0 chance though. That's two true frosh in the sec with him and Mich Mustain for Arkansas. Quote Link to comment
bornNUred
If CU can't knock off Montana State at home, then I don't see them having any chance in Athens whatsoever. Quote Link to comment
