Redout
Solich spent a week at OU this week. He was also on the sidleines during the game. Here is a snippet of what he had to say. NOTICE the in depth analysis he gives on OU's true freshman RB. It will blow you away. And then he kind of makes a comment that seems a little odd. It's in bold. Former Nebraska Coach Frank Solich spent the week shadowing the OU coaches, attending practices and meetings. The man who coached I-backs Mike Rozier, Roger Craig, Lawrence Phillips and Ahman Green at NU used the word "special" to describe Peterson. "He's got the feet to make a play, and the speed to put it in the end zone," Solich said. "Plus, he's got excellent size and great toughness. They've really brought him along well." Solich's inside look at Oklahoma football was no token gesture, OU Head Coach Bob Stoops said. "Frank worked himself hard here," Stoops said. "He was with us morning and night. Believe me, we picked his brain for some information. It's been great having him around." Solich, likewise, said he enjoyed spending time with a team that has the tools to stay in the national championship race to the end. "Now, they've got the good running game to go with the passing game," Solich said. "That defense can really run. And their special teams are excellent. "It looks like it's all there." Even with one all-conference player no longer welcome. "He enjoyed spending time with a team that had championship talent" Well maybe you should have recruited harder. Or spent more time working here, Quote Link to comment
DaveH
That comment is kinda odd. Afterall, he couldn't get the right tools when he was here! Quote Link to comment

Eric the Red
Solich didn't actually say it, but was paraphrased by a reporter. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
What exactely is Solich's goals right now. Is he trying to get back into coaching or what?? All he ever does is visits. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
Didn't someone post an article in which Solitch stated that he wants to get back into coaching? I'm guessing he's making the rounds both to keep his hand in and to network. Quote Link to comment

He's going to be a head coach next year. He took this year off because there wasn't much left for job openings. Right now he is just going around to keep in with football and keep his name about. Eric the Red
Is it best that he become a head coach or do think he should become an assitant first and work his way throught the program again. If it's a head coach it'll be at Bowling Green, Utah St. or something like that. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I think that Frank is a good enough coach to have a head coaching spot. I look for him to sign somewhere where the expectation aren't as high as what they are in Nebraska. I think he will be successful and I wish him the best of luck. Quote Link to comment
brotherofalatehusker
Say what you want about Frank but at the end of the year, remember that he was 9-3 last year...... I for one will be surprised if they finish that well this year. JMHO Quote Link to comment
