captain obvious
Keller played EXEPTIONALLY well. He completely blew away my expectations. Homeboy hung in on the tough plays in the pocket and made some pro-quality throws. Callahan's offensive scheme in the first quarter was dynamite! We had them on their heals until well into the second quarter, until the game stopped due to injury. Then the defense dropped the ball and on the subsequent possession we inexplicably abandoned the strategy of attacking the edges of the SC defense with short pass routes. Still, I think Cally gave us a chance to win. Finally, nobody quit. Never. They stuck in until the end of the game. If anybody can come up with positives on defense, I'll be impressed, though... At the very least we won't have to play USC again this season. Quote Link to comment
rawhide
One positive I think is apparent. Everyone is pretty much grounded now as to our level of play. Until the BXII championship I don't think we will face another team with that much talent or depth. Whether we improve from here is the question. GBR Quote Link to comment
papersun87
Keller was great. He only really got flustered and made a bad decision once (that interception in the third quarter the d-lineman took back inside the ten). Also, I can only remember two dropped passes, which is definitely a plus. Cody Glenn was very impressive, a completely different player than we saw against Nevada. Purify made grabs. Todd Peterson, specifically, made two VERY tough catches. Quote Link to comment
captain obvious
Yes, it was nice to see the receivers holding onto the ball tonight. I think Hardy was the only one to have a drop. Quote Link to comment
captain obvious
In addition, I still think Lucky's going to have a great year. He is running harder than he's ever run before. His stats were pretty pathetic, but when you get so little help from your O-line, you can only expect so much of a running back against 11 of the fastest players in the country. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirtsguru
The Huskers as a team NEVER GAVE UP! That really impressed me about em! Quote Link to comment
rkhufu7
The Huskers as a team NEVER GAVE UP! That really impressed me about em! They never quit, and hopefully they can take this into the remaining games and go 11-1 and play OU for the Big 12 title and a BCS game! Quote Link to comment
