gamecocks
Since Bill likes to use two tight ends. Who do you think we get some more playing time? I look for Keiser and Phillips, with maybe Muller getting a few snaps here or there. Would like some feedback on this subject. Quote Link to comment
Benard
That is pretty much right on. Keiser will play practically the whole time now and phillips will play on some run downs as he is a very good blocker. Mueller will play if game gets out of hand. Look for the fullbacks to get more pt as alot of the tight end play involves running in motion slowly and blocking on a run which fullbacks will instead. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I think that you are right on there. I would love to see Kriewald more involved in what passing game we have. Quote Link to comment
kramer
Keiser needs to step up and stop droping balls, Phillips could be a stud and this situation is good for him and Mueller b/c the will get a lot more reps in Prac. and game time too. Phillips blocks really well and might take over the starting spot before the season is over. he was offered by KSU, Okla, and Okla St. Mueller is massive, 6'7 260!! a nice big target that is athletic for Joe to get the ball too. when Phillips and Mueller were recruited they said Phillips was the blocker and Mueller was the reciever. Man he is big boy Quote Link to comment
Benard
They threw it to kriewald once and he scored a td. Give him the ball! Quote Link to comment
DaveH
They threw it to kriewald once and he scored a td. Give him the ball! I thought for sure that wasn't a touch down, but somehow we got it. Â The officiating in that game was sub par to say the least. Quote Link to comment

Man he is big boy From what I have heard about Mueller from people that played football with him in high school is that's all he is is big. He is a slug, maybe runs the 40 in 5 seconds flat. If he was better than Kaiser, he would be playing right now. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
I've played basketball with Mueller in high school. The kid has great soft hands. He wasn't the fastest or the quickest but he would catch anything thrown his way. Quote Link to comment

Most tight ends are like that, and they do there part, but few can do what Herian gave us (is the speed, athletism, etc) that's all a bonus. Now we need someone to get these guys the ball. Tight Ends no matter how fast are usually wide open most of the time anyway. Hands are the bect feature they can offer. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
That is true Eric. I have never seen Mueller play, but from what I have heard and read he isn't nearly as athletic as Herian. Quote Link to comment
