dave Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 Talk about a powerhouse. These ladies are the BEST. Everyone is all down in the dumps about how badly our football team is doing. They should model after the volleyball program. Classy coach, great teamwork, and outstanding talent that continues to come to Nebraska. There's only a handful of 6'5" women in the league this season ..... two of them, probably the best, are both at Nebraska. (One from Canada and one from Colorado....ie, recruiting) My sister played for the VB team back in 85-89. The transition of the program from then to now is just amazing. I think when she started playing there tickets were like $2 or something, and around 300 fans would show for the average game. Now they're filling any venue they play in. 2nd place in 2005, 1st in 2006, and on the way for a title again this year. Simply amazing. Callahan -- take a look! Quote Link to comment
