mattbri17
Associated Press - October 15, 2007 12:15 PM ET LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A University of Nebraska regent says there is no movement afoot to fire anyone associated with the Cornhuskers' football program. Regent Randy Ferlic of Omaha says members of the Board of Regents are notified as a matter of course before any major hirings or firings in the athletic department. Ferlic says he and fellow regents have been flooded with e-mails the past two days calling for the firings of athletic director Steve Pederson and head coach Bill Callahan, among others. He says "it's almost reached a lynch-mob mentality." The Huskers have come under fire after losing back-to-back games against Missouri and Oklahoma State by a combined 86-20. Chancellor Harvey Perlman says he'll have no comment. Quote Link to comment

NEHUSKERS311
I just heard there was a closed door meeting of all the big wigs at the U going today. Main topic said to be talked about was the AD Pud. Anyone heard anything about this?? Quote Link to comment
junior4949
This is a sad day, then. Steve Pederson should be fired for dividing HUSKER NATION! I think you're a bit midguided. He divided Husker Nation in 2003. You have got to give him credit because he has now UNITED Husker Nation. IMO, if there's a press conference and anyone gets fired this week or today it will be PUDNOCKER! The current staff will be allowed to continue knowing they're gone at season's end and a new coaching search will commence with the new AD. Quote Link to comment
