Ok what would be worse losing some recruits cause of a couple asst. coaches being let go, all the while our HC is still here and isnt going anywhere too soon, or going thru another crap season with 2 asst. coaches that have no reason still being employed in any program???

Solich got canned for having a girlfriend that was part of the program if you could call her that I guess, ohh yea and cause Peder I am a jack off didnt like him and his personal life.. No matter what he did its none of our business I am sure its very embarrassing.. I wish him luck and now we can move on to the end of Watson/Gilmore era......

Baby blue are they serious, it hurts my eyes even looking at it.. I say darker shade of blue with black outline fading back from a distance, or just leave the damn logo alone an use the old one.. Names are just names I guess Legends is ok but Leaders sounds like some high school poster or mascot name.. I really dont have a clue what I would like as a name so really I should just not bitch...

First off it will take a coaching miracle by Sark or total surrender on Nebraskas part for WASHINGTON to have a chance. Also, Washington fans are pumped about the bowl game because they havent been to one in about what 4 or 5 years, trust me they are just happy to be their. Nebraska dominates this game. I want Watson and Gilmore gone too, but until that happens Im assuming they are here for next year. The word "sources" should be outlawed on this forum. Just so you know I didnt even know who gilmore was. I just relayed what I was told. I live in austin texas and grew up in lincoln. I don't know about #2. I thought that Solich passed him over. It wasn't like he did recruit Danny and offer him, or Danny would have been here. He certainly didn't want to recruit Woodhead but got stopped by fan pressure. In any case, I think it's a moot point. What about that UNO TE now in the NFL, for example? There are going to be SOME quality players, even some star players maybe, that emerge from lower level schools. The 'snubbed' angle is used a bit strong IMO too often because if those guys don't emerge, other guys will. And maybe they would have been poor fits/swallowed up/gotten limited playing time at big schools, and as a result not gotten the next level chances they deserve. Even in the smaller ponds there will always be the biggest fish. The premise seems to be if Nebraska never messed up with in-state talent, that UNO/Chadron State/wherever would never turn out a quality or famous athlete. NU gets a huge majority of them, but doesn't hold complete monopoly and never will. Damn thats spot on!!! 100% AGREE!!!

He has been a HC else where and he has produced a good team year in, year out for the location and with what he has had to work with, so cant you believe maybe he can recruit a little better??? Yeah, he's been head coach at Ohio.......now I am not familiar at all with his work there, but if he is showing something as a recruiter now it would be very surprising to me. I'll believe it when I see it, especially when the problem back then was, I believe, an attitude. Disdaining to recruit basically until the season was over. I respect that, because I don't like the recruiting game too much in principle, and I respect focusing on your team and your guys. But that is just no way to go anymore. Why do you even believe that, other than his name is Frank Solich? With almost any coaching hire, I would say take the guy's name out and replace it with something completely random. If he is still a good candidate...then you can consider. Ok but your looking it as he will be the HC, he wont be and its like someone said above its not his team and he will only recruit the guys Bo wants... Also I do see the point of other post as what if he doesnt work out an TO or BO have to fire him which makes it harder,,,

Bo could be looking into the job with no desire to take it but to see what kind of money is out there... Cant blame him for looking into it.. Money talks these days, but no I dont think he leaves, but looking for money hell yea and cant blame him for that....

Ok you have Solich that if it wasent for him we prolly wouldnt have Bo as our head coach, an Bo wouldnt have had his past jobs (you know the jobs) he wouldnt be on anyones radar... Solich gave him a shot and our school with TO gave him the shot to be a head coach when no one else would.. That has to mean something to him and with Solichs ties to TO and the fact BO could have a chance to return the favor, how can that go wrong??? Bring back the option we all want to see, bring back a offense that can an will win titles... Look down the long road here, BO isnt a NEB boy and like some have said he prolly wont be here in 10yrs if even that... If its true we have Frank no matter what to fall back on if he is on our team an that makes me feel alot better.. We need to accept times have changed an the days of loyalty are gone....

I don't think this is too likely... but if it happens, I'll be happy. A part of me died when I heard Solich was fired. I just couldn't believe Nebraska would do that to one of its own sons after a 9-3 season. Look what the idiot is doing to Pitt!!! He fired a coach thats good an did a good job, makes him resign (fires him) in hope to replace him with someone better or worse ie Watson!!!!

Seriously? Okay, I'll explain the difference between rumor and a legitimate news report. A rumor is something that has no real sources close to the story behind it and, as a result, no real reporters like Sipple go on record with it. A report, however, is based on multiple sources close to the situation, which is why sports reporters (like those who write for the Miami Herald) are willing to go on record with those stories. Just because every report does not end up being accurate does not mean that rumor and journalistic reporting are the same thing. The fact that there is 7 PAGES of comments on this stupid rumor is horrible!!!!!!!!Ok no way in a million years he leaves.. He is from the Big 10 and I dont see him missing out on a chance to coach vs the Big 10, and the fact that he has put 3 years of his blood sweat an tears into this program he wont leave now... Upsets me to think there is a bunch of people that actually think he would do that to this program... In the same respect if he does leave then he's not the coach for us..........

Aaa frickin men to that!!!! Texas zone read after zone read, and thats even with Zac Lee in... There is no threat of a deep pass, no screen pass, no threat of an option (which would work a million times over and over) with Green, Taylor and with Rex and Roy, man that would be deadly... Watson has had his chances an now its time to move on.. Is Bo so blinded by trying to built the Def that he is letting Watson have to much control, knowing Bo himself is not a offense guy???

Watson needs to go, I have thought this since the Texas game where he called zone read after zone read when it wasent working, then Lee comes in which we all know isnt the best runner on the team, but knows the plays and can pass and what does Watson do run run run all the time.. Hello thats not working, so what does Watson do against a team ranked 108th vs the pass run run run.. Come on give us a break the guy isnt the man for the job, you cant fix stupid here let him go and lets move on... I understand our WR are not making things easy, but why not some RB screens, or run the damn option with Green and Taylor's speed along with roy and rex it would work... I was thinking the same thing I am glad you said it... Who knows what the future might hold, we might get a better QB next year or the year after that is better then anyone we have ever seen.. Tom coached for the future by createin depth an tellin the kids they have to sit an watch before going out there, but times have changed so I if the player can play then let them play..

Ahhh the first game needs to get here fast, so all these questions can be answered... I cant wait any longer!!
